i was going to go through fifty flowers for our centerpieces and just for kicks went for a consultation with a local florist. turns out it’d be cheaper to go through the florist (who will actually do them instead of me having to buckle down the day prior!) than DIY.

If you search the hive for fiftyflowers.com reviews, some threads will pop up by other bees who have used that site to DIY flowers. There are some that have used Costco and Sam’s Club also. I’m using silks and ordering petals from fiftyflowers.com

I ordered fresh flowers form fiftyflowers.com on two seperate occasions (for the trial and for the wedding). Both times, they arrived early morning via FEDEX. customer service is excellent – they call you to confirm your order and see if you have any specific questions about the type of flower you ordered, give you tips on care, etc. Overall, great – I would use them again. They often have coupons/discounts too.

I have heard some really good things about Sam Club and Costco. Their selection is a bit more limited but they have great pricing and quality.

Costco in Canada has a shitty selection, so I think I am going to go with lolablooms.com I talked to a customer service rep, and they deliver fedex to Canada and I can choose my delivery time so that’s what I think I’m going to do.

Bostonsmom – Im from Canada too and I was going to go to Costco but Im not really excited about relying on them. I just checked out Lola Blooms, I really like their selection and their prices. If I decide to use them I will post my outcome. Thanks for mentioning them.

I ordered my wedding flowers from Fifty Flowers and was pleased with the entire process.  I wanted to be creative and do them myself as well as save money.  Well…..they all turned out great, but I didn’t save money and was running around like crazy the days before caring for the roses.  Our hotel room was freezing cold because I had to make sure they didn’t wilt!  Our car was PACKED with 7 painters buckets of roses and hydrangeas.  Looking back, should have gone with the florist!

We’re doing ours through Sam’s Club! I’ve heard great things about the quality and the prices are amazing but like a PP said, their selection is pretty limited. I’m actually paying my DOC a little bit extra to do the flowers for us. I didn’t want to spend thousands on a florist, but I also didn’t think I could handle the stress of putting the flowers together the day before the wedding. For us I think it will be a great compromise!

I ordered my bulk flowers through Costcos and I was VERY happy with them.

They were affordable, They got to my place on time ( Your suppose to get them a fews days before the big day)

I followed the instructions on how to maintain them till the Big Day, and the night before, me and my sister made the Bouquet, & the Boutineers.

The flowers we used for the Reception and were taken back home with us and they lasted a LONG Time after the Wedding.

@Bostonsmom: I just checked out lolablooms.com and I’m pretty impressed with their selection and prices. I am actually growing my own flowers this year for our testing, but if it doesn’t pan out, then I’ll have a back up plan, might just end up ordering from lolablooms.

@futuremrsmclean: Please do post if you do end up ordering, let us know how it went.

We ordered through Sam’s Club. I was super pleased with the service (had to call to change the delivery date, but it was no problem.) The flowers arrived on time, were in great shape, and stayed fresh for a long time

I have ordered from fiftyflowers several times and been completely impressed every time! Flowers are great and customer service is excellent! Also, right now they have a contest going on through Facebook and you can get 5% off your order just for registering, worth checking out… I think it’s Facebook.com/FiftyFlowers

Good Luck!
