Well I’m 100% Italian, so I have hair on my arms. I’ve been on this waxing kick lately, and was wondering if anyone ever waxe their arms?
If so, was it a pain to keep up with? Grow back lighter? I mean, mine isn’t bad, I’d rather use a lightner gel which avon used to carry, but its discontinued.

@Miltie: Im arab, So I got a hairy arm myself too! Well, its light but there! I do wax my arms, as a matter of fact– all my sisters and friends do too! Its pretty common and normal 🙂
Pain– eh– Its NOT as painful as underarms. There is a little pain but Its totally tolerable! I havent waxed my arm for about a few months and its pretty light! I say go for it, its awesome!

I’ve never waxed but I shave my arms – i just really like the way it feels especially when you put a long sleeve shirt on after. Its like getting into clean sheets after shaving your legs. I dont think the hair grows back any differently than it did before not darker or lighter and not more or less but thats just me.

I had my arms sugared once, and it was awesome! Didn’t hurt too much, and my arms were so lovely and smooth. It does get a little prickley when it starts growing back in (a week or two later), but I’ve heard if you keep up with it, it gets better and thinner.

@NowDontLetsBeSilly: I know it would get pricey so I bought a heat waxing kit– Its much needed for times like these 🙂

I was going to recommend sugaring too. It’s perfect for arms. 🙂

Yep, Lebanese and in the same boat as @Mrsgurzakovic: It’s more common in different ethnicities (Arab/Levantine I can say with certainty, and also very common among many of my Indian friends).
Like any form of waxing, the more often it is done the less painful it is. I definitely don’t think of it as painful in the least now…but started so long ago that I can’t remember whether or not it was at first. With regular waxing the hair will thin out to a pretty great degree, but no such luck with the color (though because it is thinner it is less noticeable).

I am Portuguese and have hairy arms. I used to get them waxed all the time. It just got too pricey to upkeep. Now I just use Sally Hansen’s hair bleach and bleach them once a month. I have to look up what this “sugaring” is that the other Bees are talking about.

I have some relatives way back when from Spain so I also have dark hair on my arms. I used to bother me as a kid but now I don’t even think about it. I personally would never wax or shave them though. Hairless arms always kind of freak me out.

Full South Indian here, and never. But I’ve never had the need to – very very fine and sparse body hair (I got lucky in the family :P).
But I know friends who have had it waxed. They seemed happy with their choices. Though I recall having some who shaved and when we hugged, I could feel stubble. Was not nice in my opinion.
