I wore clip on extensions for my wedding and i loved them! I added them for length, but they would also add fullness. I highly recommend getting the "Wavy" style so that the curl hold better. I got mine at Sally's for about $80....there were 2 lenghts, 14 inches and 18 inches.
I did - check out this thread :) :http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/clip-in-extensions-for-the-wedding
I made my own extensions! I only ended up using two of them for volume, as the veil covered most of my hair. I was able to find hair with blonde and brown in it, and it worked out perfectly. I think it would really help with the look you are going for, it will add volume, and the extensions hold the curl forever!

Another idea for you would be to not pull so much on top back....just pull a smaller portion up (thats what I did) therefore you can leave more hair down for a fuller look!
I will being doing this! I went to Sally Beauty this week and bought my extensions. Make sure to by real human hair extensions. The synthetic material ones will look shiny and kinda like doll hair!
I am excited to use them because they will give my wedding hair a lot of volume. $80 is expensive, but keep in mind that you can use them many times.

My hairstylist suggested if I want my hair to look fuller, I could buy 100% human hair clip-in extensions that she will cut to appropriate length and curl accordingly.
Just wondering if anyone thinks it's a good idea or not.
The first photo is my hair trial at the salon; the second photo is when I got home about an hour or two later(you can see that the curls are a bit deflated)
