(Closed) Anyone every rhodium plate a yellow gold ring?

I had that done for a friend of mine.  She had a 14K yellow gold ring with an opal and I had it changed to white by getting the Rhodium finish.  It looks great!  It did start to get a hint of yellow after about 2 or 2 1/2 years.  If you do change it over it will probably have to be refinished every 3-5 years depending on how hard you are on your rings.  Hope this helps!

Yes – I was given an heirloom ring as well. I had it dipped the week I got it, and then again a month before the wedding so it would be extra shiny and sparkly – but in the year or so it really hadn’t yellowed at all – just dulled a bit.

@Crazyhair:  If your e-ring is white gold and turned then this ring won’t be any different.  People say body chemistry has something to do with it and it appears yours lends itself to turning the ring back to yellow.  I say then save yourself the money and rock the mismatched look.  It’s in right now anyway.
