Hi everyone. I’m new here…well new to posting, not new to drooling at the pictures of course. haha.
I just had a question…
My fiance ordered the ring I finally decided on from Moissaniteco.com but I’m debating on going up to 1.25. It’s currently a 1ct. The only thing is that it’s hard for me to tell what it will look like since I’ve obviously never tried it on and I can’t seem to find something like it in any stores. I was hoping to try to find one I could just try on to compare the two sizes but I really cant. It’s so unique..which is why I love the style.
Has anyone seen this style in person? Or have any REAL pictures of it on or in person that you guys can post??? Or something similiar?? It still needs a little bit more money to be put on it before it’s shipped out so I have some time to change it the size. I just don’t know if the 1.25 would be too much, considering it’s a type of halo design and those tend to add a bit more to it. I just would love to see the two different sizes.
Here’s the link to it from Moissaniteco
Do any of you think the 4 prong would be a problem? I’m hoping NOT since it’s a low profile setting but I still get nervous with the stone falling out.
I was thinking about possibly changing it to this style instead…but I like that hurricane look to it lol.
This style has the mulitprong though…

Since it is a halo type of setting, I think a 1 carat would look absolutely perfect. Of course, carat size also depends on your finger size. What size finger do you have? I am a size 5 and have a 1 carat moissanite. It is really a perfect size and I wouldn’t go bigger. It looks pretty big on my finger and I don’t have a halo. It is a solitaire.
If you can’t find the style you want in stores to see it on your finger, I would suggest that you try on solitaires in 1 carat and 1.5 carat, so you can at least see the size on your finger and imagine it with a small halo.

Oh, I forgot to add- I have a 4 prong from Moissaniteco.com and it is really strong and well made. I have absolutely no worries about the stone falling out. In fact, some say that 4 prong is stronger than 6 prong because the prongs are thicker. The prongs on 6-prongs are thinner and more likely to break than 4-prong.

@sommertime: Oh!! Thanks for the info. That makes me feel better lol.
My finger size is around a 5 1/2-5 3/4. I have to go back to measure it again. I think my fiance ordered the 6. I might have to go down some, I’m afraid of it possibly spinning around but then I’m afraid of it being too tight if I gain weight or with swelling (during pregnancies or pms time!)
I’ll definitely take your advice and try and find something in a store to try on. I was thinking the 1ct would be ok too, and I have short little fingers lol.
How are the stones in a halo type setting? Have you heard of any of the side stones falling?
