Ocean Beach (OB) and Pacific Beach (PB) are great for people watching. You can't go wrong with Balboa Park & SD Zoo. Every Tuesday one of the museums is free. Then head over to The Prado for happy hour 4-6 & 8-10. Walk over the bridge to 5th & Quince (the streets are in alphabetical order by trees) to Extraordinary Desserts.
Hillcrest is down the street and has lots of good places to eat. The Hash House or the tractor room (same owners) has good breakfast. You can buy Cohn Restaurant Group gift cards at Costco for a discount. C Level has THE BEST Lobster Mac & Cheese.
There is so much to do in San Diego. Hang gliding, golf, surfing, Casinos, wineries, Gaslamp, Baseball, Football, deep sea fishing and more! I sound like an ad, but I love it here.
thanks so much! I knew there would be lots to do, but I had no idea where to start as the internet is SO BIG! I cant wait to start looking into your suggestions!!
I just PM'd you a link to my wedding page of what to do for OOT guests.

In order to save money to purchase our first home we've decided to forego the traditional weeklong tropical getaway, and have a fun 4 day mini vacay in San Diego. My FI has been there and absolutely loves it, and I have never been. I'm a photographer and he's a skateboarder. If anyone could clue me in on some points of interest I would REALLY appreciate it. (i.e. great restaurants, beaches, attractions, etc.)
