We were THISCLOSE to doing so. I was going to do it right after we went ice skating there, but we left the house too late that day and I pushed it to outside the Met, which we had been planning to do after ice skating, but since we were running out of time before our dinner reservations, we just skipped the park altogether. This was December 30 of last year!

On May 15th, 2008 I actually met my future husband for the first time at Wollmann Rink in Central Park - We were at a an advertising work party!
On Thanksgiving of 2009 he tricked me and got me there and proposed!
Oh my goodness, we got engaged on 30th Dec 2009 too. FI was very close to doing it in Central Park but decided to do it at the top of the Rockefeller as it was a gorgeous clear morning with a great view over Central Park.
My fiance proposed on a row boat in the lake in Central Park...it was AMAZING!!!! He hired a photogrpaher to capture the whole thing!
We're from San Diego and are planning on getting married in NYC in 2012!!

I saw old some pictures of Central Park in NYC with snow on the ground and it got me thinking of my engagement. (Wow, it's been 3 years since then.) The DH asked me in Central Park. He was looking for strawberry fields but with all the snow, he settled on the gazabo overlooking the ice skating rink. I know I'm not the only one. Anyone else get engaged in Central Park?
