@MrsPanda99:  Me! I lost almost 15 pounds and tons of inches before my wedding which was great and I have continued on with it losing even more weight and inches. I didn’t want to fall into the stereotype that all girls get fat after their wedding and because I was doing so well I just wanted to keep up with it. I know a few friends who gained 25 pounds within a year of marriage and I vowed that would not happen to me!

@MrsPanda99:  i was thinking this yesterday!!! i even said my fiance I kinda wanna stop losing weight after the wedding so my wedding photos will be the best i’ll ever look. haha. obviously that’s a crazy mindset and i plan on continuing my healthy(healthier) lifestyle post wedding. but ya i’m with you, i wish i got serious sooner!

@MrsPanda99:  I am. I got married last year weighing around 245lbs. A few months later I hit 250, and had a little bit of a meltdown about what that meant for my overall health (idk why that 5 lbs made such a difference, but it did). Since then I’ve been using MFP and working out, and I am weighing in at 218 today. I look and feel so much better, and I’m still going strong.

I am a tiny bit bummed about this motivation coming after the wedding, but honestly, that feeling pales in comparison to how good I feel about myself now. I wasn’t really insecure about my weight beforehand, and I can still look back at the photos and see a beautiful bride.  I joke with DH all the time that he’s lucky I’m doing the opposite of all the stereotypes, haha.

@MrsPanda99:  It’s ok to feel that annoyed feeling, though. I think when we go through big weight loss we all kind of go through an identity crisis of sorts.

I totally plan on taking a great picture next month on our anniversary, lol.

I have always told myself that I want to look better AFTER I got married than before (and better after I have kids than what I do now). I am tall and have a pretty good shape now though. People tend to lose themselves once they get married and one of my goals is to look better after marriage than I did before. While I’m still young I am cultivating good habits to take me through marriage and the rest of my life.

@MrsPanda99:  Yeah I was a bit annoyed that I didn’t look this skinny and toned in my engagement pictures cause frankly I had a double chin in some of those pics which does not make me happy. The wedding pictures I’m ok with because I looked much better in them compared to the engagment pictures..yep I’m vain! LOL

I have lost 15 pounds from my heaviest weight, but I hope to lose another 10 this year, my max weight gain was 30 lbs since highschool and I was fit as a fiddle in highschool so if I could get back to that I would be amazing . My SO has lost 50 lbs in the last year, so proud of him, his goal is another 20 or so this year !!

I actually don’t plan on getting into better shape until after my wedding. I feel uncomfortable trying to loose a lot of weight before the wedding now that the dress has been purchased and I am fine with the shape I am in for now. After the wedding though I plan on completely overhauling my health as this is going to part of our vows – that we will be as healthy as possible for one another.

I was ill before my wedding and gained weight. I don’t think I looked bad but I’ve since lost about 40lb and gone from ill and unfit to a budding powerlifter. I have no intention of giving it up and will keep trying to get stronger and fitter.
