OK So im still in waiting but  this is similar to the ring the FH will be giving me... it has the E-ring that is seperate and also has 2 diamond bands that fit underneath it on each side of it... FH was saying the other day he has no idea how to give me the 3 rings... odviously one is the E Ring but what about the other two wedding bands? Does he just put one on my finger for the wedding? Does he put on both? When and how should i get the 3rd ring?

I would make a joke of it "he loves her twice as much!" and do both... I like the idea of you getting both of them at the cermony, kind of as a blessing for both instead of just one.

I'm having two wedding bands!!! For right now, I just wear my e-ring, and on the wedding day I will be given my two bands. I would like both bands in the ceremony, that way they are both "blessed", but I haven't decided how to do it yet.

Maybe for the ceremony you can be wearing your e-ring on your right hand and the two bands can just be put on your left hand at the same time during the ceremony after they are blessed.

Get the set soldered together and just have the one ring at the wedding (all 3 are one.) that's what I did. :)

@kmskull... the he loves her twice as much thing is cute

Wearing it on my right hand is an option... is that what people usually do? or for you wedding does the wedding band just go ontop of the e-ring then get switched

Well we did decided that we would get the 3 rings soldered together but i dunno about before the wedding.... that would mean i wouldnt get to wear my e-ring again until our wedding day.

I want three but we were going to do it where he would give me my engagement ring when he proposed, the wedding band when we were married ,and the last would be an anniversary ring that he would give to me on our one year anniversary.

Of course I would probably cheat and go ahead and wear all three after the wedding, but for the purposes of the wedding it would just be the two.

FSIL has three rings, and they were soddered together before the wedding, so he just slipped all three on. But the "twice as much" thing is cute!

Usually, you'll wear you E-Ring on your right hand or you MOH will wear it.  When he goes to put them on he can just put the 2 on.  After the ceremony you can fix all your rings as they're meant to be :-)

I might be wrong here but isnt the third ring worn on top an eternity ring that you get either after a year of marriage or when your first child is born

Would it be wear to take off your engagement ring and have him slide all three rings on your finger during the ceremony? I don't think it matters if you just use one of the two bands either. My husband put my wedding band on my finger on top of my engagement ring and after the ceremony, I just flipped them so the wedding band would be closest to my hand.

some of the other girls have already said it. many of my friends have the three ring sets.

you get the engagement ring. then on the wedding day you get one band. and a year later or if you have a kid before your one year you get the 3rd band.

i think simpleandchic is correct. You can get the second band as an anniversary band or when you have your first child.

I will have 2 diamond bands and my e-ring...and I LOVE IT.  I never thought I would love all the bling but I can't wait until I can wear them all.

I have two diamond rings and I got them both on my wedding day. It looks weird with only one band..the asymmetry drives me nuts

I wore my e-ring on my left hand and DH put the band on top...when we had a few seconds to ourselves, he gave me the other ring and we put them in the right order. No big deal

It is actually a Swedish tradition that the bride get 2 bands.  One symbolizes her becoming a wife and the other symbolizes her becoming a mother.  Kinda old school assuming everyone will procreate, but maybe kind of sweet.

I would just have your FI give you both bands during the ceremony- as if they were one band.

Beautiful ring!! My SIL had all three soldered together to make one ginormous ring =) My brother gave both bands to her during the wedding ceremony and then they took all three (e-ring plus 2 bands) back to te jewelers and they soldered them together.

hehe I am glad you like my rings i cant wait to actually have it on my finger :P

This definately gives me alot of things to think about and to tell him to think about.... The only reason we wanted the  3 rings is just because i loved the look of it and so did he.

I am sure now that we have some ideas we can discuss it and see what  he wants to do

I'm a 3 ring girl too. FI did it kinda backwards. He gave me a diamond band when I got accepted into my PhD program (huge, huge, huge, deal), then we got engaged. So the final band will go ontop of my Ering on our wedding day.

I plan on keeping them all seperate, that way I can mix it up.

I worked at a Jewelry store when I was in college and a girl said to me once that she wanted to get two bands to "seal the deal"  it was cute.  It really looks nice with some rings.

Practice ahead of time to see if it would be to awkward to give the second band during the ceremony.

I love THIS ring because it is one ring but looks like two ;)

I really think getting two is fine and I agree with @lilindy!

Hi!!  I have 2 wedding bands (in addition to my engagement ring).  One band is plain and one is diamond.  Before the ceremony, our priest blessed both bands.  During the ceremony, my husband gave me the diamond band (I didn't want him to fumble with two bands- the moment is so special....).  After the vows, we had more ceremony (catholic mass) and my hubs gave me the 2d band at that time.  I had worn my engagement ring on my right hand, so I slipped that over too.  So when we exited the church, I had all 3 on!

I'm getting 3 too.  I have my nice e-ring solitaire and two dimond bands.  One of the bands I have right now to switch off and wear as an e-ring when I'm at work (can't wear my solitaire at either of my jobs).  At the wedding I'm sure my guy will want to put all 3 on.
