We don’t have a lot of time left, but I’m starting to get really weary of all the details, and since I’m not getting much help (other than a close friend who’s my DOC) since my family lives in another state, I’m just through with it! I’m also concerned about our spending since we’re paying for everything…my FI is wonderful, I keep changing my mind about things and he’s so calm. I had to take a break from planning for a few months to deal with family issues and I’m trying to get my act together. Just wanted to vent this evening I guess.

With only a week to go, let me tell you… I wanted to throw in the towel several times. I will never plan another wedding again. Hang in there though, you get through it.

@PMSJL: “We don’t have a lot of time left”
What?! You have 9 months left! I have 2 weeks left! You have tons, and tons, and tons of time. I had very few small details planned 9 months out. You’re totally fine.

@LaurenKK: Since I put everything on hold for 4-5 months earlier this year, I feel a bit pressured now, that’s all. I have the major work done except for bridesmaids/groomsmen attire and a DJ/band. The little things, that’s what’s driving me bonkers!
@MissSawyer: I wouldn’t mind planning the aspects of someone else’s wedding – for a price, but I can definitely relate. I asked FI for a destination wedding to Las Vegas or a JOP, but he wanted a formal wedding…

Lol, I have less then 2 months left and I am so over this process. You are still 9 months left so its no where near as stressful at that point. Don’t stress and enjoy the moment because as time passes you would want to elope, lol.

You have a TON of time left! I have 7 days and I want to get off the crazy train! Just want to be married already. Relish the time you have, it goes by.

I loved planning until we hit a month out. Now it’s overwhelming and I’m just ready for it to happen already.

My frustration is that the fiance wants to be a part of the planning but is taking his sweet time deciding when to do it! He says he’s got classes to plan and this and that and whatever else. He keeps saying there is plenty of time but Fall and Winter are the busiest times for us becaeuse we both teach. I wanted to get all the planning and venue picked this summer but no go. My family has been completely MIA too. 🙁 I’ve pretty much put myself into the place of – I don’t really care anymore. As long as we have the Mass that makes us married, I’m happy. Fiance can do the venue when he has time lol.

I had to take a break a few months ago. But getting back into planning since I have less than 3 months now. You still have time so space out your planning, don’t do everything at once. I had about 9 months total to plan…it’s plenty of time.

I’m definetly ready to get married now, screw the rest of the details lol. Everytime I turn around there is another thing I didn’t think of, or something that I think I have to have, it’s just crazy. Not to mention the money being spent. I wish I would have went with my gut and got eloped, but at the same time I know me, I would have regretted it eventually, and so would have FI.

Im an April 2013 bride too and completely understand. I am the only person planning this wedding and it is a lot of pressure! I planned my first party ever (a small baby shower!) only a month ago and I’m supposed to plan the biggest day of my life perfectly – no pressure!
Fiances are not much help really…it’s perfectly normal..mine is clueless (love him!) To make him more involved with something, he picked the flavor for a tier of the cake and I am giving him the job of picking our rentals.
I have already had a minor melt down once and have a feeling there will be more once it really gets closer! Thats why we have the bee 🙂
* Also check how much time you have left for bridesmaids dresses..I have to have the girls order theirs by October 16th to be on time with alterations. Grooms attire is a bit later down the road of planning.
