We...wait I should say hubby, did the tilework over the brick fireplace and the kitchen backsplash. It seemed pretty easy and we used the square glass mosaic tiles on a plastic sheeting purposely so that they could be cut without a tile saw and were easily manuevered. Also DIY network has videos to watch that should make you feel more comfortable. Good Luck!
We went from a wedding to building a house. it was a lot of work but we love how it turned out!

My husband and I just purchased our first place in VA Beach- it's perfect with the exclusion of two outdated bathrooms. I was planning on having someone install a new tub/shower and bathroom fixtures.. but possibly doing the tile work myself as well as a backsplash in the kitchen. Anyone else tackle these jobs and have any advice?
