Husband and I are thinking of going on a babymoon as for now... we booked out of all places LAS VEGAS! We plan to go to shows, lay out, and eat. I will be 34-35 weeks by then but i really want to go super bad. Does this seem crazy?

I think it's a great idea, but your doctor may not want you to travel that late in pregnancy. I hope it works out!

When the time comes I definitely plan to have a babymoon. Perhaps not as late as that though as knowing my luck lol But I don't think it's crazy at all. I've never been to Vegas but like the rest of America I know the healthcare is great should the unexpected happen (my FI's cousin holidays in Vegas a lot as he can have his thrice- weekly dialysis appointments there as opposed to travelling around Europe or Asia it just wouldn't be possible- or very hard work!). You'll be fine regardless so I say go for it- it's your last chance before baby arrives so make the most of it :)

My doctor said they just don't want you to travel after 36 weeks, just in case the baby decides to come early. But I would still def. ask your OB b/c they all seem to be different.

We're going on a more relaxed baby moon. Well actually two. First we're going to a B&B near a beach for a long weekend, and then we're going to stay at a very nice hotel on the beach for a night (gift from my parents). We're closing on a house next week, plus getting ready to have this baby, so I'm very excited to have some stress free time!

    Have fun in Vegas!

Vegas is going to be so fun!  It's definitely a place where you can have fun even at 9 months pregnant.

We had thought about planning a babymoon right when we found out we're pregnant, but finances and work schedules kind of got in the way.  Have fun!!!

@roxy821- my husband and I just got back 2 days ago from our honeymoon/babymoon in Ireland and I had just started 2nd trimester when we left (we were there during wks 14-16).  Anyway-- just a little tip-- I would say wait until you're a little further into your 2nd trimester than I was, if possible. Ireland, especially food in Ireland, isn't exactly a helpful place to be for a woman still dealing with morning sickness.  That all said--- it was a great trip, and definitely one I'm glad we went on. Let me know if you want any other "pregnant lady goes to Ireland" tips. :)

And OP-- definitely check with your dr about traveling... if you're just driving, it might be a different story, but flying anywhere that late might be rough.

DH and i had just planned a road trip to Cali with best friends when we found out we're expecting. We had planned on going in semptember, i will be almost 24 weeks by then, and I really think we are still going. It wasnt meant to be a babymoon but i guess we can call it that now!

I just dont kno if i could do it that far along, but if you are up for it and u get a go ahead from ur doc, why not! Im sure you will have a blasst! ;)

My mom and I are taking a little road trip for memorial weekend- I'll be 33 weeks :) My last chance at freedom on a vacation...not exactly a babymoon with my mom, but still looking forward to it anyways.

DH cannot get off of work, but we took an awesome honeymoon to Europe in October so that should satisfy our travel needs for a while.

We are going to Hawaii next month!  I will be about 29 weeks and so far I have the go ahead from doctors.  It looks like most airlines require dr. note in the 9th month.   I am super excited about the trip!  Can't wait for a little relaxation time!
