Anyone grow veggies indoors?

@tmsing:  for some plants,  it is best to sprout inside,  then transplant when they are big enough to thrive.

@tmsing:  I have found that starting nearly everything indoors (except root veggies) has upped my success in the garden. We get howling winds from the south often here in NZ and I can’t imagine trying to get anything started straight outdoors. Just use a windowsill ledge to start things. Just so they get some sunlight, but mostly heat as most veggies need heat to germinate. good luck!
