- Wedding: October 2010
We are planning on using an iPod (or more accurately a laptop with iTunes) to DJ our wedding. We’ll have 3 playlists – ceremony, reception through to the end of dinner, and post-dinner reception. Once dinner is over and it’s really time to let loose, my FI wants to use a jukebox software and touchscreen so that our guests can control what plays. All of the music would obviously be pre-selected by us so we don’t have to worry about people playing music we can’t stand. And if no one selects anything, it will default back to our playlist so we won’t be without music.
My question is, has anyone out there had a jukebox at their wedding? Has anyone done anything similar to this? Any words of wisdom? Are we crazy?
Just as some background on our wedding – we’re keeping it really casual, and not doing a lot of the “traditional” things (grand entrance, bouquet toss, etc.). Neither my FI or I are huge dancers (though I can be convinced to dance quite easily once I’ve had a few).
