DH’s ring is from bluenile. While I like the ring and we got a good price, I was not impressed with their customer service when we had to exchange it for a different size. As far as I know the ring is only guaranteed/returnable for 30 days; you would need to get your own insurance for it.

Mine is from BN! We also decided to buy wedding rings and other jewellery from them as gifts. I have been extremely happy with them. My ring is the petite cathedral pave and I haven’t had any issues with diamonds falling out (so far anyway). I’ve had it for over a year so far 🙂

SimpleeAmbur:  a coworker got her diamond from BN.  She picked a setting from local jeweler though.  She was completely happy with her purchase, and was encouraging me to look at their site.

I have one. I thought the process was simple and their customer service was good. They have a 30 day return policy. He ordered two and chose the one he like best. The other one was sent back and refunded, no questions asked. I then had to have it resized, which was free and easy. I thinking sizing adjustments are free the first year. They insure it with the postal service and request you insure it with the postal service when you send it back for sizing or cleaning. By the time I sent it back for resizing the ring was already insured, but I still chose to insure it in the mail because I didn’t want a claim under my name. $30 is worth not filing a claim.

I had one! We just didn’t have the money to keep it at the time (broke college kids) so we ended up returning it. But wow the quality was amazing and the customer service was above and beyond. They let me return it after 40 days because of a short delay at customs. It was white gold, with a 3/4ct diamond in the centre. The diamond quality was fantastic. Inexpensive, GIA certified, and no inclusions in sight! I recommend them to anyone shopping for jewelry. I bought my bridesmaid earrings from them and love them too. 🙂

we bought the diamond for my e-ring that we had custom designed by an etsy seller. The diamond was great quality, and quick shipping. I’d def. recommend.

SimpleeAmbur:  My rings are from Blue Nile. I cannot say enough good things about them. They were really helpful in the ordering process, ship for free, and have great customer service. My ring is beautiful and I get so many complements on it. They have a 30 day return window where they will exchange for any reason. After that, my ring is covered by private insurance. I get it cleaned at a local jeweler and have never had a reason to get it repaired.

I took this ring through dirt and mud. It is gorgeous, but now that I look back I wish I had been more firm about getting an inexpensive stone and a more simple setting. A pave stone fell out perhaps a year after receiving it. I wore the ring 24/7, so it was only a matter of time.

I don’t wear this ring but its cost was quite affordable, which is fair considering the service, cut, and overall value of the ring. Blue Nile also allows you to go on payment plans, which I think is attractive to most buyers.

SimpleeAmbur:  my center diamond is from Blue Nile! We chose them because we’re in Canada and returns/exchanges are relatively painless. We exchanged 2 diamonds and kept the 3rd one! I can’t speak to insurance on a semi-mount, but you should always purchase 3rd party insurance for valuable jewels.

I had such a good experience with them that I just ordered their diamond bar bracelet. Their prices really can’t be beat when compared to (Canadian) retailers.
