@cmoest:  I had a boudoir shoot and my husband LOVED the pictures. He had NO idea I was doing anything like that for him, so when I gave it to him at our rehearsal dinner (In private, of course) his jaw about hit the floor.  If your husband is always requesting sexy pictures I would definitely do that as a gift for him!

@cmoest:  My husband wouldn’t like it because he is a hobby photog and quite particular about picture quality (he’d want to take them himself, which he does). He also is quite protective of me and I don’t think he’d love another guy photographing me naked or next to naked. Yes, I realize it is a professional but still. Also, I said “he” because our wedding photog is a guy and that’s who I would use.

I am far too critical of my body I don’t think I could ever do that kind of shoot.

I have one planned. I got a deal off groupon for it and it’s oy one outfit and framed photo for the price. my SO is always asking to take sexy pics and I hae never let him. I’m going to give it to him for an engagement present when I get the beautiful ring he is paying Off.

@cmoest:  I am the opposite. I’d rather use whoever will make me look the best and I love our photog. Also, I am a lot more comfortable being naked around men than women. Men also know what they want to see, what looks sexy, and generally how to draw that out. At least for me, given my sexual experiences have been mostly with men.

He liked them, and I liked them as well.  But I did it as much as me for him.

Mine are pretty PG-13 (meaning not naked completely) and my photographer was female.  He wouldn’t have liked a male photographer I’m guessing.

She did a wonderful job.  Mine included hair/makeup/eyelashes and shooting for 1 hour.  Shooting was easy as she pretty much posed me and told me what to do and did some different sets (background and props).

@cmoest:  I asked DH what he would think about them, and of course said OMG yes, but right now I am pregnant, so I said, “What about lingerie, sexy maternity photos of me?” He still said yes, but I asked how often he thinks he would ever go back and look at them. He just told me that he didn’t need pictures if he had the real deal, so he probably wouldn’t look at them as often. So at least I have a green light if I would like to, but I think, in our case, it would be a waste of money.

My husband loved them and is asking for another shoot.  I think the fact that my photographer was a female (mother of 2) and that he had a chance to meet her beforehand made him much more comfortable with the idea.  I honestly wasn’t going to do one, but our photography package came with a choice of 2 other shoots (engagement, bridal or boudoir) and my husband chose boudoir over the bridal shoot.  Also like kes18, my pictures are very PG-13 and I designed and printed the album at home.

I had them done and they were great. DH even wanted them done again as part of my maternity shoot (but I opted for a clothed one instead). If you get a really good photographer to do them, they can come out really artistic and classy as opposed to porn/Playboy. He liked them a lot and I wore the equivalent of a bikini in each shot; I was never naked or insinuated nudity. Because my photographer does a ton of boudoir shoots, I think I ended up really liking 70-80% of my photos, which is more than I can say for my engagement or my wedding photos.
