I know this seems off the beaten path but another girl on here found her lace wedding dress through an antique/vintage type of shop.  Keep your eyes open, maybe check the internet for those, too.  You can find them cheap and maybe get a beautiful white new backing underneath.

ETA: Oh, and keep your eye on the WB Classifieds, too.

Here are some pictures of lace dresses that the company that I am buying my dress from has made. I think they look really nice and not low quality at all. The first one is not all lace but it has a lot of lace on it.

The top of my China replica dress is lace and I asked specifically for high quality lace. I was honest and said I was willing to pay more for better quality lace. If you are dead set on a certain kind, I think it would be helpful to provide it to them if they are willing to do so. Shipping could get pricey with that option however. My best recommendation is to get a few quotes and ask to see their lace samples. Good companies will gladly send you a photo of their selections. Good Luck!

@MsInterpret: Well I have only gotten a quote for a few dresses that I am interested in and it seems to be in $200-350 reange but the dresses that I am looking at are not simple at all and a simple one would always be cheaper. They also told me that they would send me pics of different types of lace that they have so I can choose which one I like the best.

@MsInterpret: Oh you don’t even want the full gown just an overlay? If its just an overlay and a short overlay at that then yeah $250 is way too high. You could get a whole long dress with a lace overlay made for that price in China. The only thing I would worry about is the color of the lace overlay matching the color of the dress that it is going over if its not a very typical white.

I have been trying to submit this post, is weddingbee having problems?

So I love Torrid.com and found 2 dresses, this is one of them, on clearance for 54 bucks, super cute

then there is this one, not on clearance…  and i dont think nearly as cute, its 78 dollars

I love torrid, but not loving the fact that I am having the hardest time posting right now!  argh!

Let me know what you think of these…
