@Mrs_Amanda:  I once had a billy goat named Clank that was actually a pretty awesome pet….he wasn’t supposed to be like that, but he really liked people and was actually kind of sweet.

I had a snake in college. He belonged to me and my roommate and he was burnt orange in color – I went to The University of Texas so it was awesome lol (burnt orange is the school color). When we got him he was about the size of a pencil (both in length and thickness) and I used to take him to class in my purse sometimes 😛

@iarebridezilla:  Mr. Pants looks like a badass. I’m 110% jealous.

@Nona99:  I used to goats as well at my mothers house as a kid 🙂 They’re very cool animals!

@Mrs_Amanda:  Right now, we only have dogs. I don’t have a lot of luck with fish, though my record for a beta is 2 years, and her name was Sarah Palin. I’d really like a snake, but my FI hates (read: is scared of) reptiles, though I’m not above using his kids to help persuade him to let us get one.

Last night, when he was half asleep, I asked if I could get a duck and he said yes…so that’s what *I’m* looking up today.

@Mrs_Amanda:  I have a bearded dragon, a uromastyx, and 2 red eared sliders. I’ll take scales over fur or feathers any day.

@BluSptLvR:  LOL!

I used to have ferrets, Sophie and George:

I also used to have both fresh and saltwater tanks with a variety of fish.. I miss them 🙁

I will probably be getting a betta for my office (since I was recently told I am getting my own office, and will have room to keep one! yay!)

I’ve also had a couple dwarf hamsers, and will very likely get another when DD is older.

I really love animals 🙂 Throughout my life I’ve had tons of different critters (rabbits, newts, frogs, budgies, turtles). The above are the most recent.

ATM I just have my dog, but I like it that way! I just don’t have time to properly care for any more than that since my DD is so young.

@Nona99:  thanks! It seemed appropriate to call him that, since as a snake, he … errrhh … pants … ?

@badabing88:  oh he’s definitely not. he once tried to “kill” the already pre-dead mouse we fed him and he missed it and slammed his head into the side of his cardboard feeding box at full striking speed. Damn near knocked himself out. He’s kind of a moron.

@Nona99:  You had a goat?! Lucky. I want a teacup pig but FI says no and suggested bacon 🙁

@iarebridezilla:  Educate me…aren’t pythons dangerous? Or not that particular one? One of my brothers also has a snake, but I just have a regular old puppy.

@urchin:  Oooo!  I loved your tanks!  I’ve always wanted a salt water tank, but Smoo the cat is the feline Hannibal Lecter, as we sadly discovered and has killed

14 fish, 1 bird, a turtle and a hampster…so if it can’t scare her away, we don’t own it.
