I'm in between rings now...long story...and I finally decided on what I wanted as a 10 year anniversary gift/ring upgrade/change. My jeweler is getting a round pink sapphire that I LOVE and I just want it in a simple, solitaire setting, most likely 6 prongs (I love the Tiffany setting). He ordered the stone so it will be a little while but I just am so excited I wanted to see if anyone has a pink engagement ring. Other colors/gemstones are welcome too! I did a search on gemstone engaegment rings and did see some long threads but sometimes since they were older, I couldn't see all the pics. I also love blue sapphires and considered getting a 3 stone blue sapphire ring but sometimes blue sapphires look so dark inside (I love all blue colors - light through dark) but rather do a dark sapphire out of all the blues available.
This is NOT my ring but the color is very similar to the pink sapphire below. My jeweler said the color could be a bit different since it's a bigger size than the one he had in stock but I'm hoping it looks as close to this ring (stone color) as possible...

Pretty color :-)
There are a lot of gemstone erings on the bee. Mine is not pink, but it is a gemstone; it is an orange sapphire.
Don't know if they're (pink stones) too popular here. One bee had a *GORGEOUS* pink center stone with side diamonds (all rounds, if I recall). I've actually searched for that picture myself... wish I could remember who it was.
You should check out pricescope.com. Tons of photos and could keep you entertained for hours.

@noritake22: i always love seeing your ring. Yours and @KatyElle's.
I have a cushion cut amethyst. Like Anne Shirley says - "it's my idea of a diamond"

katyelle does and its to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
here ya go :) http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/finally-my-padparadscha-sapphire-e-ring-pic-heavy
I have a gemstone e-ring, it's a ruby though.

I don't have a pink e-ring, but my husband gave me a claddagh with my pink birthstone soon after we started dating, and I wear it every day on my right ring finger. I absolutely love it, and I get compliments on it all the time!
I have a gemstone e-ring! I am not a traditional bride...my birthstone is a diamond so I didnt want the for my e-ring. My FH bought me a 1.5ct. Mystic Fire Topaz. Its set in .925 sterling sliver(I work with lot of harsh chemicals so the sterling sliver doesnt react to the chemicals like gold does...my skin is sensitve!) I love my e-ring. I am pairing it with a 2mm .925 sterling sliver band. Very clean looking with out being the over the top!
And here for the first time every posted on wedding bee my e-ring:
The pictures really doesnt do it justice!
Such gorgeous rings ladies!!! Love them all!
Now I'm rethinking my choice, if I should get blue sapphire instead. I LOVE pink but wonder if I might think it was too much over time... Hmmm...hate making decisions!
Please keep posting more rings!!!
This isn't my e-ring but it's a gorgeous pink sapphire ring!

This isn't my e-ring but I envy it! It's a pink champagne diamond and it's stunning!!

OMG...these rings are to die for! Love all the ones just posed! Oh, and totally love Laurie Sarah rings but just can't afford them. :(
I love pink diamonds but don't think I could ever afford those either! That's why I thought the pink sapphire was the next best thing for me in my budget!
I just love your ring. I've never been a big ruby fan but your ring is just gorgeous!
@cardus: Love this! Such a unique color for an e-ring!
@d_mari3: I LOVE mystic topaz!!
@SarahSmilesDec28: That is beautiful!!
@Treasure43: I simply DROOL over that champagne beauty every time you post it!
@stephanie63087: Ditto. Her ring is to die for.
@noritake22: I'm in love with your orange sapphire- please do not ever stop posting it!
I have never been a diamond person. I always wanted a Blue Topaz (my birthstone) for my e-ring. I told FI what I thought about the subject and sent him a few emaails with pics of rings I liked. Then I left it alone for a few months. November last year I was suprised with a beautiful ring. I couldn't have chosen better myself. The corner stones are Amethyst. Sorry the pic is so big.

@Treasure43: It's crazy gorgeous. I showed my mother (who owns various amazing pieces & loves pink) & she said it was one of the most beautiful rings she'd ever seen :-) Is it from etsy? I can only hope you'll post if you eventually purchase it!
@d_mari3: FI just got me a mystic fire topaz ring. I LOVE it!! It's perfect for us because purple is his favorite color and green is mine.
@rachgirl82: I don't know where it's from. A girl on pricescope.com posted it...it's her engagement ring. I believe she and her FI worked with a custom jeweler!
@d_mari3: Those colours are amazing.
Mine are all over the bee, but I can never resist an opportunity to share them yet again. I love my green tourmalines to death.

My ring isn't a gemstone, but it's rose gold which not many people have. I like that it adds a little color and originality, but it's still traditional and timeless. I think it's a beautiful metal, especially if you have a pink-ish skin tone!
@Treasure43: Okay well stop teasing me & my poor poor mother :) (jk!) She did tell me "Rachel, if that girls posts her band, you'd f*ckin better tell me!! "
@SarahSmilesDec28: That is one of the most beautiful rubies I have ever seen!
@d_mari3: I love mystic topaz rings! I have at least two of them! They are very beautiful and so unique.
I don't have a sapphire, but I do have an alexandrite. The picture doesn't do the ring justice and the picture doesn't show the correct color. It isn't very photogenic. =|
Mine's not a pink ring, but it is a ruby. And a three stone ring. So perhaps you can imagine it with a pink stone instead of the ruby. :)

The first ring is a Laurie Sarah. http://www.etsy.com/shop/LaurieSarahDesigns I don't know where the second is from.
Wow...so many rings posted since I last checked. Thank you also to the other poster who sent me the link to you ring. Oh gosh...I am just so in love with your ring... So in love... You are so lucky! I hope to have a ring like that one day!
I swear...I am loving the ruby color so much now that I see your ring and the other ruby posted.
I just love all the rings posted above!! Too many to comment on but ladies, they are all gorgeous! Love all the blues and purples and tourmaline (so original!) and love the rose gold. I don't see that often at all. So pretty with the diamond.
Please post more! With this heat, I'm stuck inside and love seeing these unique rings!
Can I ask you all...what is your typical response when people see you don't have the traditional diamond? My husband isn't convinced about me having a pink ring, or even a blue sapphire, but I think after all this time of me changing my mind and talking about rings incessantly, he doesn't care anymore. ha ha
Sorry for the huge photo :) But mine is an actual sapphire with a gold band. I loooove it!!!

I have an emerald. But I don't have a camera, so it's kind of a lousy picture.

@Mrs.Lotus: People not quite knowing how to respond is one of my favorite things about having a gemstone ring! I LOVE that it doesn't broadcast my status the way a diamond would, but the fact that it's on my left ring finger makes people wonder. I get a lot of comments from people saying they love the ring, and a few comments asking if it's an engagement ring. It seems like most people who don't know me well suspect it is but aren't confident in their suspicions. (it's not that I don't want people to know I'm attached... I just feel weird wearing a symbol of attachment when my fiance isn't yet)
I've found that in my peer group/age group and area, gemstone rings are actually fairly common. I have two female friends who are currently engaged, and neither of them have diamond center stones (one has a sapphire, the other an aquamarine).
here's another shot of it. It's a dark blue sapphire and often looks black.
@Mrs.Lotus: My ring is all over the bee but here it is again:

My ring is a yellow sapphire.
I've gotten mainly positive feedback about my ring. Many people think it's SO different, but also think it's just a canary yellow diamond. I don't share what it is unless people ask. However, I think sapphires have become more popular due to Princess Kate's engagement ring.
@Mrs.Lotus: Honestly, I haven't gotten one single person commenting negatively on the fact I don't have diamonds. Everyone wants to know what kind of stones they are because they've never seen anything like them, but it's always asked in a postive way.
I love your ring. It looks regal and I love sapphire!
I find that really interesting...that people wonder b/c it's on your left hand but are not sure if it is an e-ring. I think gemstones are becoming more popular too but my husband isn't too familar with it so he thinks it's kind of odd, but at least isn't opposed to it! Gorgeous ring by the way!
Wow, wow, wow...that's all I have to say. :)
that's good to know. I still keep wavering between the pink sapphire and blue sapphire 3 stone ring. I love the solitaire but wonder if people won't think I'm married but in another sense, why should I let it bother me. I'm glad to see more women having gemstone e-rings. i love your set...so unique and such a one-of-a kind!
I chose a purple sapphire. I am sooo happy with my choice! Here is mine.

@Mrs.Lotus: I have a white sapphire center with blue sapphire sides, so most of the time, it doesn't raise too many eyebrows. But, I just explain that I love sapphires, they are my birthstone, and we got engaged in September, so it just seemed fitting. I usually don't lauch into my whole list of other reasons we chose a sapphire unless I know the person well.

@Mrs.Lotus: I haven't recieved any negative feedback from anyone about my ring. I was a bit fearful about it, but the comment I always get is "I love that you got something besides just a diamond. The ruby fits you so well!" But then again, I also have diamonds in the side-stones and I thinkn the three-stone ring looks very much like an engagement ring, so people don't mistake it for a random gemstone ring.
