YES!!! We love it!!! I make a smoothie every morning, you can put all kinds of healthy things in- spinach, kale, berries, flax, chia, hemp, oranges, lemons, apples, carrots, grapes, greek yogurt. We’ve also made pesto, soups, cheese sauce for pasta, salsa, ice cream, cocktails etc. I plan to make baby food when we have kids. It comes with a recipe book that has lots of ideas. Even thought they’re expensive it was SO worth it.

@NCSUchick27:  I use it (and abuse it) at work all the time, and it has yet to get dull or breakdown.  It is a beast of a machine and I would have one myself if I had the extra cash!

I have it and love it. I use it for all the same stuff as above PPs, including grinding coffee etc, but really the reason I love it is not because it does a lot of different stuff, but because of the quality job that it does. Pureed soups get silky smooth. It can turn celery into perfectly smooth puree.

I have a Vitamix and I use it everyday and on the weekends when I make several recipes to freeze I use it 3 – 4 times Sat & Sundays.  Every morning we make a fruit smoothie of yogurt, frozen berries, frozen bananas, protein powder, milk, and ice.  It makes the most wonderful smooth and thick smoothies.  I’ve made almond milk, pasta sauces, pesto, hummus, all sorts of dips, salsa, soups, cocktails (summer lemonade with fresh mint and ice!).  After going through a number of blenders that just broke down I finally gave in and made the investment with my Vitamix.  I wish I had bought it as my first blender but I learned what quality was.  The vitamix is the Rolls Royce of blenders and you will not regret buying it if you intend to use it regularly.  Going on 5 years and we haven’t had a single problem with it. I love the idea another poster had of making baby food with it.  All natural no preservatives, what a great idea!

I love our Vitamix!!!  It is such a great blender.  I’ve used for smoothies, soups, margaritas…and man, it makes a smooth marg!  It is awesome.  I really want to try and make homeade almond butter in it!

Buy it!!!! We got a refurbished one and it still came with a great warranty. We use it for so many things. I have a smoothy every morning. I also make salsa, almond milk, pasta sauce, soup, ice cream, pesto, breakfast bakes, and so much more. I also use it to chop anything I need to chop which makes cooking go so much faster. It is so quick and powerful and extremely easy to clean and maintain. Ours stays out on our counter all the time and is used almost every day.

I would LOVE one! A little out of our budget right now, so I’m keeping it on our wish list for the future.

Yes, and I am obsessed with it. Initially I was reluctant to get one because of the price, and really, how awesome can a blender be? But it is amazing. We make smoothies at least twice a day, and it makes them so smooth. I love making hummus in it, because that also comes out silky smooth! Perfect for blending soups. It also came with two cookbooks that have awesome recipes. It was worth the investment for us, since we were sick of going through cheap blenders.
