Hello fellow bees, I know I came across a poem and bookmarked it but cannot find it now. Anyone have a poem about an outdoor wedding ceremony and reception. I want people to bring umbrellas and make sure they know to wear proper shoes as our wedding venue is pure grass. I have outdoor tents as back up but I am absolutely getting married outside even if it means people bring umbrellas. Any help please?

Is it this one?
Sharing one umbrella
We have to hold each other
Round the waist to keep together.
You ask me why I’m smiling –
It’s because I’m thinking
I want it to rain for ever.

aww that’s cute, however what I was looking for was a poem to tell my guests to be aware of weather and bring an umbrella??

Found a possibility
Not sure of a good way to word it. Maybe you could do a Q&A section of your website. Q: What should I wear? A: Come dressed for a semi-formal outdoor cocktail party, but keep in mind that average temperatures are XX degrees, so please dress comfortably. Just realize that if you put “picnic” or “BBQ” anywhere, you’ll get people in sun-dresses, polo shirts, possibly even shorts or jeans. So if you want people to wear anything dressier than that, avoid those words.
I know it sounds weird, but people will take their cue on what to wear from how fancy the invitation is.

Its all planned out: our wedding date!
An outdoor party to the max
We hope you’ll come and celebrate
But want you to have all the facts
Although we’re praying hard for sun
Nature just might interfere
But we still plan on having fun-
Its our day, we want you here!
So if the rain begins to fall
And weather holds an intervention
The Church we’ve booked can hold us all
A back-up plan for our reception!
So rain or shine, we’ll see this through
Come join us as we say: “I do!”
Except I will change it because we do not have a back up church it will say bring umbrellas 🙂
