First, you need some kind of structure.  Those outdoor ones are trellises on the sides with the twigs bent over them (or ready made arbors, with twigs covering them).  They are pounded into the ground.

The indoor ones are posts set in pales/pots with cement or plaster (probably) with flowers covering them.  The twigs are then tied and woven around.

So you shoudl make the structure first, I would recommend PVC pipe since it is easy to work with & cut, and has all the connection parts you would need ready made.  Paint it brown, and set the ends in something weighted that will hold it (pots with plaster for example).  Then bind the twigs to it with either glue or twine (or a combination).

Hmm. I hope that helps…

@futuremrswood25:  laying it down in the bed of FI’s truck and driving it lol. I’ll fix any imperfections at the venue and cover weird spots with ivy. I got this 😉

@futuremrswood25:  Yeah, that’s why I like pvc.  Easy to put together/take apart into sections.  But if you want to pound 20′ rebar into the ground, you’ll need a pretty tall ladder to pound from the top to sink it. Or you can dig a few feet into the ground and back fill while some one holds it straight.  You need to ask if you can dig a hole like that at your venue, but that would work.

A home improvement store would cut it to size for you, probably, as well.

Just an aside: rebar can get very heavy. You may want to make sure how many people will be needed to move it for set up/tear down. 🙂
