Just be sure to order according to the size chart.  I was just in a wedding a wore the V-neck chiffon JCrew dress (Sophia). Their customer service is really good and they helped me choose the right size, I went with a 6Petite and it fit perfectly on top (I still had to have the hem taken up and evened out b/c it seems a little asymmetrical when I had it on, prob cause I have a big butt).. but I’ll def be able to wear it again, which is great.

The girls who got the strapless one (I think it’s called Taryn) I don’t think liked theirs as much because the space for the boobs isn’t very big and doesn’t cover very well.  It does have an extra support strap underneath that you hook before you zip it up, which is a nice extra feature for the construction of it.

I also wore the Sophia as an MOH not too long ago. Both the BM and I have larger busts and the style flattered us nicely. I had a seamstress put a small stich in the front to keep the chest from gaping. I also had her shorten the straps a little, though in retrospect, I wish I hadn’t because she shortened them too much–so much so that I don’t think I’ll be wearing it again. I think this is a big shame, since it is definitely the kind of dress I WOULD wear again. Overall, I felt it fit true to size.

I went to a wedding a few years ago and the bridesmaids dresses were from Jcrew. They were really cute and I think Jcrew is a great choice because many of their dresses some in different styles but the same color if that’s what you are looking for. I also think they are in a good price range.

I had the Jcrew sophia dresses in silk chiffon vintage blue.  I loved them and thought they looked gorgeous on my BMs (who ranged in height from 5’1″ to 5″10 and have a variety of shapes).  They each ordered according to the sizing on the website (or through a sales associate in the store) and they fit great (with some very minor alterations, such as my MOH having the straps taken up a tiny bit).  Here is a picture of the dresses “in action”:

My MOH is wearing the Taryn, she ordered a 10P which is her street size and it fit, the length was still a tad long but overall was a great pick.  Like others mentioned, the bust area is not big.  J. Crew will take measurements of the girls and order the size that best fits them.

2 of my girls wore JCrew chiffon dresses. They fit true to size and the quality is very good. I’m wearing the Silk Taffetta Gracie in a wedding in October. It’s beautiful.

In the pic with the balloons my sister is standing to the left me (with the horrible tan lines) in Juliet in graphite. My friend Julie on the far left is wearing Sophia, also in graphite.

In the pic with the flowers they are on the far right and far left respectively.

I bought the Gracie dress to change into on my wedding night, and bought the Taryn for the rehearsal.  Both fit perfectly, true to size, and I love them both!  All of my girls also got JCrew dresses for my wedding, in the silk taffeta, and they fit really well.  They all got different styles, and they’re fabulous because they truly will be able to wear them again!

We have the sophia chiffon in clover, and I have one flat chested atheletic BM and one curvy buxom BM and they look great on both of them.  Honestly, I think they just ordered their dress size.  Both the BM are around 5’3 and got regular instead of petite (against my better judgement), and they are both now getting theirs shortened a bit (their decision, not mine).

@SweetAdelineXO: Ooohhh you and your ladies look gorgeous! I heart the pic with the balloons especially – the lighting gives it a vintage feel. Lovely photography! 🙂

My girls are wearing the juliet in light berry.  I haven’t seen the other silk chiffons from Amsale or Vera Wang.  But for the price you pay and the style and cut, especially, if you get the dresses on sale…it’s a great choice!  Be sure to call and speak to a rep to talk about your girls’ sizes or ask them to get measured.  The only thing about our dresses: it’s a tad bit on the long side since we are petite people, but that’s nothing hemming can’t fix!

I have worn many JCrew Dresses and love them. I would agree go by the size chart and they should fit. I never had any trouble.
