Have you tried a corset bra?  I got one and I’m amazed at how well it sucks me in around my upper body.

Darn, no ideas about how to make your actual rib cage smaller… eek!  🙂  Hope that the stretching works!!!  If not, can your seamstress put a small panel in to give you a little bit more room?

Does your dress have a corset back? If not – sometimes you can have them put one in and then you get a bit of extra room … You should have time for that kind of alteration before your wedding.

I had this problem too.  The seamstress took it out as much as she could but it was hard to breathe still.  It wasn’t my boobs either, it was my ribs.  She actually had to bring it in in my boob area.  I would recommend not wearing a corset bra.  That will actually take up more space in the rib area.  I just wore a normal strapless bra, so it didn’t go into the rib area at all.

Anyways, it was still tight on the wedding day and hard to breath.  I wasn’t too happy about that, but with everything going on you tend to forget about the pain of your dress.

I have never heard of stretching, but it sounds kind of risky to me at the last minute.  I’d be worried it would alter the shape of the dress too much or cause other areas to be too big and the dress wouldn’t fit.
