Ijust got it and just set it up. So far seems to work great from the 1 phone call I made lol. Question – I’m Canadian and when setting up a number, would be charged extra to get a canadian number. Since a caller needs to have the same area code AND the same first 3 digits, it didn’t make sense to me to pay that extra $ since no one I know has the 3 digits that magic Jack had available. So – I live in Ontario but was set up with a New York number.
It didn’t occur to me until after, but will the people calling me be charge with international long distance fees? To call, you don’t have to dial the extra digits for international calling like you normally would if you were, in fact, calling internationally.
I’m just curious if I’m going to have to get magic jack to now change my number and now re-inform all my contacts of the new number.
anyone know the answer to this?
