i think it would be fine, as long as the flower's not too big or the veil is simple. my flower was pretty huge, so i decided to just switch it out.
I did both a flower (by the lovely Mrs. Seabreeze) and a Vera Wang veil in my hair for the ceremony and then took the veil off for the reception.

MKendrick rocked that look beautifully---I don't typically see both at the same time. I think a lot of girls switch the veil for the flower post ceremony. I have....3 different hair pieces right now (lol, so I will be changing up my hair quite a bit!)
This is not me. I found this picture on the internet in a google search while looking for pics of ladies rocking mantillas...I think this look is beautiful!

Up until recently I wasn't going to do a veil, but for some reason i totally changed my mind last week and bought one. Now I'm thinking about wearing it, along with a flower, for the ceremony and pictures. I'm worried that it will be "too much" though...does anyone have pictures of this combination that will help me change my mind about this?
