My family and I stayed at the Marriott a few years ago: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/lihhi-kauai-marriott-resort-and-beach-club/. It was really nice and the beach is great for bodysurfing and regular surfing. I'm not sure I remember a preference for the North or South shore; the island is so tiny, it's really only an hour or two to drive around the whole thing. :)
I do remember that Poipu beach was the best for snorkeling, and that's on the South shore. But I think it was too rocky for bodysurfing.

Hi all!
My FI and I are going to Kauai for our honeymoon. Has anyone ever been there-do you have any resort suggestions? Also, would you suggest the North Shore or Southern part? Thanks!!
