Does anyone have the sweet tea recipe for a Chinese Tea Ceremony? I purchased Green Oolong tea from Ten Ren and know that I need longons, dates, lotus seeds, and magnolia petals called pak hup(?). But I don’t know how to put them all together? Do I need to sweeten the Oolong tea? Do I add the longons with the shell or remove the shell? And what does pak hup look like? are they the yellow flowers that look like mums that you find in tea? I’m in the los angeles area – would anyone know where to get the pak hups?

Pak hup is the Cantonese for lily. Stir fired lily is tasty, never tried it in tea though.
Yes you need to remove the shell and seed of longons before brewing the tea.
Usually rock sugar (冰糖) is used to sweetern the tea.
I personally think pre-packed Eight Treasure Tea (八寶茶) would be very nice for the tea ceremony. Rock sugar is already include in the package.
