hmmm - although i LOVE orange and pink together it's more of a "in small doses" thing for me. i can see it in flowers and on like, the invites but i just can't visualize orange tablecloths with pink napkins, sorry. personally i would have a more neutral tablecloth and maybe an orange runner or some other detail other than the whole table, you know? it might be too much...... orange is a tough one.....
I found a photographer's blog that has some pink and orange weddings that are beautiful! The first is very subtle, and the second is brighter. Both are very pretty!

I am!! After going over it over and over in my head I've decided to use pink, orange, ivory and maybe just a splash of a muted yellow.
You could do the white covers that are free with the pink sashes and then play with different shades of pink on the table covers with hints of the orange that you like.
I have been playing with my color ideas on my PAINT program on my computer. It's actually helped me a lot.
@ms. anne thrope: agreed. accents will look marvelous, but you have to be really careful about overdoing it and making it look too much like a carnival.
My sister did orange and pink for her reception. She is a designer and it looked great, although I had my doubts beforehand! She alternated pink and orange tableclothes. So pink tables got orange napkins and vice versa. She also did the same for the centerpieces. She had these triangle box thingys (pink or orange) and had the opposite color flowers in them. Sounds like it would be too overboard but she really did a nice job! She decided against chair covers.
Thanks everyone for the great ideas! I loved the paint idea...it helped me a lot! I have decided to do white tablecloths and white chair covers (free)....with the fuschia chair ties that I have already bought....fuschia napkins....fuschia table runner...and a pink, orange, and green centerpiece of roses/other flowers...pink and orange place cards and table number!
check out mrs. swan's recaps on the blogs, she had a bright pink/orange color scheme and although that's totally not me, i remember absolutely loving how it looked, she did a really great job with everything.
@sgwed: We are! I love those colors together. I read on a designers blog a lot time ago that the key to using pink and orange is to use a lot of a neutral color like white and add the bright colors as accents.
When I was looking for inspiration I went out to Google images and searched for pink and orange wedding, fuschia and orange wedding decor, hot pink and orange wedding decor..... well you get the idea. Got a TON of ideas. Hope that helps. =)
I'm not having a pink and orange wedding but I went to one this summer and it was beautiful! She had white chair covers with alternating pink and orange sashes, all the linen napkins were pink and her personalized beverage napkins were orange. She didn't have overlays on her tables, and her centerpieces were large pink and orange pin wheels in white flower pots that she painted herself with pink and orange polka dots then she had like 5 or 6 votive candles around the pots, and instead of putting mints or peanuts on the table she had a dish of pink and orange circus peanuts, she had other pink and orange candies on her candy buffet. Hope this helps
I have done so many orange and pink weddings..... the colors are great!!!!
Pink and orange here! I'm trying to piece my thoughts together - I'm more of a hands on and visual person, so you can imagine my frustration at not being able to piece things together fast enough! I want to do black with pink and orange, playing off of a beach sunset theme. We will have black table cloths, and I'm thinking alternating pink and orange table overlays, and mixed napkin holders, black chair covers with alternating pink and orange ties ... Center pieces are still up in the air - I like the idea of tall vases with clear beads in the bottom and orange and pink layer lights with water and a single ivory lilly. I would love to see your outcome!
I was worried orange tablecloths would be too much, but I am SO glad we did them. They looked great and white would not have had the same inpact. We had orange tablecloths, bamboo chairs and and our flowers were white and pink orchids. Some arrangement were very tall and some were low.
I'm doing pink and orange too!! With LOTS of bling too! I'm using the hotel's ivory table cloths but i'm getting pink and orange table runners and then lots of pink and orange vases on the tables..I love all the ideas on here!
I am planning a wedding with the same colors, do you by any chance have pictures of your colors or tables how they turned out?
@sgwed: I decided not to have pink or orange in terms of table cloths or chair sashes. I thought it was too much. Instead, I used the pink and the oranges as an accent within the centerpieces.
I am! We are getting married in 3 weeks and can't wait!!!!
We are doing white tables clothes, a fuschia overlay and orange sashes on white chair covers. My centerpieces are dahlias in different shades of pink and orange with white mixed in. We will then create a circle of candles around the centerpiece, which rests on a mirror. The colored linens are AWESOME because they are kind of sheer and iridescent!
I can't wait!!! My other decor will be 8 feet tall bare trees with fuschia, orange and white lit up paper lanterns, (thank you throwies!) covering them. There will be 10 of them throughout our venue.
Can't wait to post pics! :)
I would love to see pictures of your table if you dont mind after your wedding. I am stuck on doing the same as you or pink overlays with pink sashes or just white chaircovers and just doing accents in orange. Thanks Any pictures of actual weddings with these colors please share. I searched the internet and keep finding the same pics.
Thank everyone for your pictures. They helped alot but, I am just not sure yet. I dont know what it will look like. I am stuck because I do not want to over do it on the covers.
I really liked your alternating color idea with pink and orange table cloths and mix match napkins.
But will this work best with just white chaircovers and no sash maybe just a diamond/rhinestone lol buckle on the back and match it with a napkin ring?
Has anyone used the rhinestone mesh to make napkin rings or clips for the knots on chair covers?
Iused fuchsia and orange. Feel free to check out my recaps in my thread history or look at my pics in the gallery. I alternated pink and orange overlays over white tablecloths and also used matching organza sashes.
I just looked at it. Thank you so much. Your wedding was beautiful! I really like this color scheme.
@sgwed: I found this online. Also, a friend of mine had the same color theme but I don't have the pictures with me.

This isn't a professional photo, it's one my sister took, but here is a sneak peek! More to come!

If we go with another color, we are looking at renting from a different company. I have pink silk chair sashes...Does anyone have any ideas on how to decorate my tables? For example: Orange tablecloth, pink napkins, and pink chair ties, etc....Please help!
