I’m in the process of finishing my bouquet now, but it will incorporate feathers. I was worried about shipping through the mail, so I found some stems on discount at JoAnns with three long feathers on each. Just had to unravel the floral tape to loosen them up a bit. If I finish in the next day or two, I’ll get some pictures up.

I’m using white/ivory Ostrich feathers in my wedding 🙂  The best site I’ve found so far is http://www.save-on-crafts.com , depending on what type your’e looking for they’ve got some pretty good prices!

Mrs. Avocado posted this morning about her sister’s wedding.  They had DIY feather centerpieces and may be selling them.  If purchasing them isn’t an option, she may be able to give some pointers for making your own.

Actually peacock feathers are the accents for our Miami/Havana vintage wedding. I am incorporated feathers in to my bouquet of white roses as well and also the boutinerees ( excuse the spelling) Aside from being placed on palm fans for the ceremony and on the menu cards for the reception – there will also be bleached peacock feathers on the sides of my shoes – so simply for “accent”

Check out save-on-crafts.com they have a bunch. If you are in Miami I can recommend a store.

I am! I just made the bouts with feathers and I’m incorporating them into my bouquet, though I haven’t gotten that far yet. http://www.emplume.com is my inspiration for those. I am having black and white ostrich feathers in various places (guest book table, etc) and my fascinator is feathers, and I’ve attached small feathers to each votive holder. I’m doing feathers more than flowers…. I won’t have to buy many flowers at all!

I think I’m going to wrap some vintage lace around the black ribbon on the bouts, and I’ll put some clear filler and a floralyte in the vase for the guestbook (guest frame?)  table. I’m also wrapping black ribbon around the neck of the vase and attaching a white label/die cut card that states that it’s the “guest book”. I think I need something more in the vase with the feathers though, to give it height.

The votives looks better now – that was the first attempt. I bought mini glue dots and now the black rhinestone totally hides the glue dot.

Oh! And I got all of my feathers at Hobby Lobby. They are 50% off pretty much every other week. The feathers for the bouts came in one stem/piece that held 5 pieces just like you see – already bound with wire and tape, just had to separate them  and it was $5.99 and 1/2 off, and the beads came in a stem, with about 3 sections of 3 stems and they were $1.99 and 50% off. I also got all of my ostrich feathers there for 1/2 off, at $1.99 each.

Thanks so much @laylabelle – my dear friend did my hair and makeup and I was able to find those funky hair pieces at Claire’s for $10 which was quite a steal! I can’t wait to get more pictures and send out christmas cards 😀
