I know the trend is for cocktail dresses, but we’re having a fairly formal wedding and I really would love to see my girls in floor length dresses. Is it possible to do this and not break the bank??
I was hoping to keep the cost around $150, but I can’t seem to find anything for that low. I really don’t want to make them shell out all this $$ on dresses they will probably never wear again, but I’m not having much luck. I am starting to think that maybe I will start looking around the $200 range and just pay for a portion of their dresses, but I have 6 BMs… uggggh, that could get expensive!!
Where did you get your floor lenth BM dresses and how much were they?

I have floor length dresses for them and definitely didn’t break the bank. I found them for 39.99 at the David’s Bridal outlet website.

My BM’s have floor length dresses. I found them at a salon for $185.00, but purchased them online for $127.00 from Netbride.com.

Me! My girls got theirs at Priscilla of Boston…if you check their website, you can see the pricing. I found them to be extremely reasonable for floor-length dresses of very good quality. They ended up being less expensive than J Crew! (for floor-length)

We had floor length. One was from Davids Bridal for $130 and the other was from a department store on clearance for $60. I didn’t want them to wear the same dress so they both just picked their own so they could use it again. I loved them.

My girls are wearing floor length Alfred Angelo dresses. AA’s bridesmaid dresses are mostly all under $200. My girls are each wearing a different style but I think the most expensive was around $175.
Another thing to think about is the discount that you’ll more than likely get from the salon that you buy your dress from. If you choose to order your girls dresses from the same salon, they’ll each get a discount (ours was 10% off of each dress).

My girls are wearing floor length dresses. Dessy 2805. They were $205-$220 from bridal shops but we ordered on NetBride for $165. Just got them in last week way ahead of schedule and they are perfect.
Best of all the girls love the dresses and are already planning on wearing them again because they are not bridesmaidy. The just look like nice evening dresses.
