We did. It was sunny. It had rained the day before, but the farmers almanac listed May as low risk for rain as compared to June or August. It was quite cool the day of, but that worked for me because everyone was in suits and I was hauling around a massive dress. Also because it was off peak season we had virtually no problem getting our first choice in vendors, and it was cheap to book our honeymoon.

We definitely get winters every year although without quite the snowfall you see in Canada. However, we do have very definite seasons and I got married in May. It had been quite pleasant weather in the week leading up to our wedding day but it certainly wasn’t hot. On the day itself we had rain and it was distinctly chilly. But that’s typical English May weather. We’d had a mini-heatwave at the beginning of the month and by the end of the month people were putting their central heating on again.

It was a lovely time of the year to get married though and I highly recommend it!

I live in southeast alaska which i guess it pretty different from most the places in canada but super similar. we got married may 10! It turned out to be a super sunny hot day. but it was this year too. This year has been pretty sunny compared. But i was forced to pick the friday instead of may 11 on a saturday. well good thing cuz the next day saturday it poured. so i guess youll never know but i wore a strapless dress and it was nice! i got married in juneau. there was snow on the mountains but not on the ground.

I got married in Buffalo, NY this year on May 11th. So, just over the border. While it didn’t snow… It was about 35 degrees outside, so it very well could have. While I’m pretty sure this year was a fluke ( on our wedding day in 2012 it was 70 and sunny). We also had an indoor wedding because I know you can’t trust the weather there. I think it’s best pre anticipate and be prepared for all scenarios.
