I'm thinking of joining again, I already have all the materials.. I just get sick of counting.

Motivate me! What have you lost on WW so far?

It isss expensive! I did WW about 5 years ago, and it cost $12 per week. They gave you basic things you needed, but they had books that cost extra for eating out and grocery shopping with brands in them. I bought a "kit' for like $23. The basic materials they give you have everything you need to know in them, so if you wanted to skip the meetings, you could probably find teh books you need on ebay or somewhere like that!

I am going to skip the meetings.. I want to go, but I don't want to spend that much each week.. and my work schedule will most likely interfere alot. The meetings are really motivational though, so I would highly reccommend them for sure!

Yeah, I was thinking about going to a meeting and checked out the price, it's about $40/mo. Too expensive for me, I think.

I unofficially do weight watchers when I'm trying to lose a few pounds.  My mom and sisters all went, and gave me the tools (i.e., calculator and start-up book) and some food ideas.

I don't like Walmart, but they have good, cheap snacks that are low calorie/fat with some fiber... In particular, they have shortbread? and chocolate cookies that are sugar free (I can't remember the brand), but they're 1 point per package.  Yum!

I like this diet because I think it's a healthier way to lose weight, than taking pills, etc.  Plus, I always eat just enough.  I like to to set goals  - "I'm going to stay on WW until Christmas/E-pics/Wedding."  Usually there's an event in the future that keeps me motivated for keeping the pounds off. :)

I was just looking into it this morning!

I didn't get a chance to dig up details, but I think you can do the all online WW for like $6/ a week now. It gets you access to all of their tools, and you don't have to go to meetings (which is hard for me to schedule too). I think I'm going to do the all online version.

(I keep vacillating back and forth on it though)

Their regular plan, which includes weekly meetings, is $40/ month.

Love it!  I've lost 64 pounds so far and I plan to reach my goal weight by the end of the year.

I for one am a former weight watcher, who kept all her materials and revertes back to the old program when I am serious about losing weight. Now I know that there have been changes made to make the program "better" which I am not privy too, but it worked then, and it is working (when I follow it) now.

I haev lost 11.6 pounds so far, and have been counting since 10/05/2009. Now I lost my will power around Thanksgiving, and have been trying to jsut find away to make it through the holidays while maintaining if I can't be losing. If you have old materials or can afford to join again, I say go for it! It is working for me!

$6/week online?!?! I'm looking into that for sure, I can't afford money or time to go to the meetings.

I am doing Weight Watchers and so far have lost 40 lbs.  What really works for me is the online part of it. It keeps me motivated and you don't have to lug around all of those books. You can just look it up online. If you do only WW online without going to the meetings it can be cheaper.

I'm following the points system, but I'm not paying for the meetings, etc. The last time I joined WW was in 2008 so I figured I would just use that info. I have several cookbooks as well. It's fun to cook with all our new toys.

Post Wedding (November 7) - I have lost 10 pounds and DH has lost 12 pounds. I've lost 40 total, but now I'm back down to that 40 after the wedding and honeymoon and all those "I don't care I'm eating and drinking whatever I want - it's my wedding/honeymoon" pounds.

Current goals - 10% of my current weight lost by my 30th birthday (March 27); workout 5 days a week (I was doing this, but yesterday was the first day back on the workout plan post wedding - SCARY)

I need accountability buddies though besides my man. :)

Yep! I'm back on. In 2007-08 I lost 50 pounds and then stopped really doing it and regained about 8 pounds. I'm now down those 8 pounds and 2 more. I have 5 more to my goal for the wedding, though eventually I'd like to be lower. I pay $12.95 for monthly access only (once a month), and I think that's super cheap. I have the tracker on my iPhone and it works out great!

I go back to keeping track of points whenever I want to get serious about losing weight.  I lost 20 pounds about this time last year, then my then BF moved in and things went astray.  Knowing my wedding dress could arrive in a month or two has made me determined to lose another 20 pounds.  I have never joined online or a group though, mostly because I'm too stubborn to pay someone to help me lose weight.

I'm doing WW right now, and truthfully, it's the meetings that keep me motivated.  I need to have to pay someone to look at the scale and tell me how my week was, otherwise I come up with lots of excuses as to why the scale stayed the same or went up (water weight, ate before weighing myself, wearing necklace, etc).  I'm doing WW @ Work, and it was $178 for 17 weeks.  I'm on week 5 right now and have lost 6.8lbs so far.

I do the online version too and also use the iPhone application. It works great. I've lost about 1lb/week since December 1st. If you're a Kaiser member, you can get a discount for any WW program (in-person or online). www.kp.org/weightwatchers

    Good luck ladies!

I just signed  up for the online program. I'm good about exercising but suck at eating well, and in portions that are right. It was $54 for a 3 month membership, and I get access to all of the online tools.

I thought I could do this by myself, but I weighed myself this morning after the holidays and I'm at 182... right where I was in August when I committed to losing weight. So- I signed up!

Just joined the online version of WW based on all the positive reviews I've read. I'm excited to see how it works for me!

I just joined the online version as well.  I'm hoping it will help.  I really need help curbing some of my eating habits.  My mom did it a long time ago and it worked wonders for her.
