How funny, I was going to ask this last night! lol. We just looked through Dubai info but it just seems like so much for right now... s
My brother and sister went to Dubai a year ago. They absolutely loved it! They said theres so many fun activities and the food is amazing. I know one of their favorite things was the indoor ski resort, also the Burj dubai just opened. We were looking into maldives too for our honeymoon its so beautiful! Supposidly with the rising sea level maldives is slowly going under water
. Not in our lifetime, but still!
Maldives is my DREAM honeymoon/vacation/residence :) Sadly I cant afford to even look at pics :)
Enjoy the beauty and just relax!!
Maldives is my dream honeymoon too :) But we dropped that idea when we realized it costs as much as the wedding (and we're not talking cheap wedding either!) Maybe for 5th/10th anniversary.
@flamingo - have fun, I'm sure it'll be incredible!
I am glad everyone has positive things to say about both Dubai and the Maldives. My FI and I got lucky and have traveled alot for work, so we were able to book everything on points and only have to pay for food and activities.
Oooh on The Amazing Race they went to Dubai and went in the indoor snow resort! You have to at least check that out!
I did stay at the Conrad in Singapore earlier this year and it was a VERY lovely experience. Honestly, everything in Singapore was so it was hard to tell if it was the service of the hotel or culture ;-)
We'd both LOVE to go to Dubai.... however, I've traveled so much and so far in the past few years I think after the wedding i'm not going to want to deal with the hassle of getting to the UAE. Now, we're leaning towards Jamaica which is like my 2nd home :-)
Hi flamingo925 - We are trying to use our airline points to get to Maldives but are having a difficult time finding flights! Do you have any tips, what mileage program did you use? I would appreciate any advice!
flamingo925 I've been looking into Maldives too and noticed the really expensive transfers. The cheapest quote I got was for $620 for a sea plane transfer for two. I've also seen $800!! for just the transfer. This seems really high! Is this normal??? If you don't mind I ask, how much did you pay for your sea plane transfer?
My sister and her husband went to Maldives (Four Seasons) for their honeymoon and also spent a few days in Malaysia on the way. In Maldives, they mostly relaxed on the beaches, ate a lot, got a massage, went snorkeling, etc., the usual beach activities. Enjoy!
Our Sea plane transfer with the Conrad is $400 per person. We thought it was super high, but from other resorts it seems to be about the same cost. What hotel are you looking at staying?
We were looking into Hilton Maldives Iru Fushi, it was also $400 per person ... I guess that's the normal rate.
