Anyone in the Reserves?

I've thought about going into the military off and on for years, and have only seriously started considering it the last two. There's an Air Force base about five miles down the street (literally) from me, so I've been doing some research and have been looking at that branch. My husband is a veteran and has a support system here, so I hesitate to move him away and am now thinking of the reserves.

Can anyone give me a perspective on what it's like to be a reservist?
