I'm not sure where I'm getting my hair done OR who is doing my make-up. I contaced Sunshine to see about her rates, but it does seem pricey. Plus, I think my bmaids are doing their own hair & make-up.

Oops - I sent that before I meant to. I was going to say that skiv (also in the NE Florida group) said she used a girl that did her hair and makeup: caseydoeshair.com from Jacksonville. She did mention that she prefers to do just the bride or the bride and one or two others. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I also contacted the Bobbi Brown in Jacksonville, and they have someone who can come up. I don't know about pricing yet...I definitely want to keep in touch about who you use!

I ended up deciding on Sunshine because, when you do a package, the prices are actually not bad - $175 for just me is a lot, but I am going to do a package and split it with the bridesmaids:
<font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">Bride only $175</font></font><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">Bride + two attendants is $299</font></font><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">Bride + three attendants is $350 </font></font><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">Bride + four attendants $375 plus mom is free </font></font><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">Bride + five attendants $399 plus both moms are free </font></font><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">Bride + 6-8 attendants $450 includes both moms </font></font><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">flower girls are always included at no charge </font></font><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">junior bridesmaids are $15 </font></font>This way, $450 will get me makeup for 10 people (I have 7 bridesmaids) which averages out to $45/person. I had a trial with her, and LOVED her work, she is also an esthetician, so she knows a lot about skin care as well.

After my last visit down, I ended up talking to a few different salons. I think I'm doing my hair & make-up at Magna's downtown. A guy named Anthony is going to do it. They have a whole package set up where you can get a trial and everything - which I'll probably do when I'm down there getting my bridal portrait session. I figured it would be good to be able to have the same person do both (or at least I'm crossing my fingers!)
Also, here's some pictures of my trial with Sunshine - she did everything I suggested, she was great! The only thing I may change is the eyelashes, I insisted on trying them, but they ended up being a lot of eyelash, lol. So I'll probably just have her add on a few inidividual lashes on the ends.

i agree sonia garza is amazing. :) i just did a photoshoot with her & she was great. theres another girl by the name of megan vanderbilt at siren salon in jacksonville beach who did my sisters wedding & shes absolutely FUN and amazing. id recommend both & im going to ask megan to do my hair / makeup for my upcoming wedding.

I already know I will be getting my hair done at Changes on Amelia Island, where my local hairstylist Cheryl has done by hair for years,and also specializes in doing updos for wedding parties.
I would like a makeup artist who can come into Changes to do makeup while hair is being done. The only one I have found so far is Sunshine Jones - she is fairly pricy, I am hoping that someone might have some info on her or some other people to consider!
