yes, it is nice here, but very foggy. not sure it would work out for a may wedding. we pushed our wedding to august because there was so much fog every weekend except in august.
Depends a bit on your budget and how beach-y an area you want, but I really like the area up in Marin near Point Reyes Station---a range of options for places to stay (Olema Inn, a campground, houses for rent) and a really cute little town. It has the same fog challenge as the rest of NorCal, though. Sea Ranch in Sonoma is also nice, though a longer drive---lots of rentals available, and gorgeous coastline.
