Fiance ordered a custom made suit online from Indochino (because he is super tall and skinny and NOTHING fit him in the stores) and it arrived in the mail yesterday. Eep! I think I was more excited for the package than him because he just left it sitting there after we got home from work and I had to playfully demand him to open it immediately. Hehehe!
Well, next thing I know he has locked himself in the bathroom to try it on because he says it isn’t fair that I get to see his wedding outfit but he doesn’t get to see my dress. (He was just joking though because I know he really does want my dress to be a surprise.)
I really hadn’t thought much about this situation and assumed all along that I would see his outfit since I don’t trust him to put together his outfit and make sure the suit fits his tall, skinny body right without looking super baggy.
I ended up viewing the outfit, but he’s right…. now I won’t be surprised by seeing him in his spiffy outfit. That made me a tad bit sad because I feel like everything in the wedding is going to be a surprise for him since he hasn’t been involved much in the planning, but I have taken care of all the wedding details so nothing is a surprise for me. Obviously it’s still going to be an amazing day, but I do love surprises!
Any bees waiting to see their FI’s attire until the wedding that way you are just as surprised as he is by your dress?

I had no idea what my husband was going to wear. He kept telling me that he would have a top hat, walking stick, coat tails and pin stripes. I was pretty sure he was joking but I was a little concered he was serious. He would not tell me. Luckily he wore a normal tux and looked adorable but he did surprise me with his converse. I loved it!

I really, really love the tradition of the bride’s wedding clothes being a surprise. I can’t wait to see her, all at once, looking beautiful. That’s why I won’t show her or tell her what I’m wearing – I want her to get to have the same experience. Plus she’s got no idea what’s coming.

We originally wanted my FI’s outfit to be mostly a surprise (except I would know it was a gray suit), but now I’ve seen pictures and kind of helped him decide, so sadly that is shot. I love love love surprises, so I was hoping that and the honeymoon would be surprises, but neither worked out. But I love the idea of his outfit being a surprise!!!!

Nope; he went to the tux place by himself and picked it out, but I picked out the bowtie/vest colors to coordinate with the BMs. He’s color blind as well. I haven’t seen him in a tux, so that part will be a surprise.

It had been described to me but I didn’t see it on him until our first look pics! He had a custom tux/vest/shirt made and it was four times the cost of my dress. And looked SO AWESOME.

When we talked Elopement to a Destination Wedding… Mr TTR first had in mind the “classic” beach look…
Flip Flops / Bare Feet – Khaki Dockers / Chinos – White Shirt
BUT he also envisioned that I would probably opt for a simple white or light coloured short sun-dress.
Lol, not to be.
I wanted something that said Wedding.
So when I found a Destination Wedding Dress that I liked (flowy)… then he decided that he wanted to revisit his attire.
Lol, and up the ante…
And so we ended up at the Tommy Bahama Shop…
Just days before the Wedding (on our Pre-Wedding Trip thru the US South)
Where he picked out a pair of light-weight silk pants & flowy (Hawaiian style) shirt in a similar colour.
And so be it… he was all 1940s Casablanca for our Wedding Ceremony on the beach.
Gotta say I L♥VED it.

@Birdee106: Oh that’s HILARIOUS!
@prisigtr: I keep swearing that my Fiance is color blind, too, but he denies it so that has me worried he’ll pick a pink shirt thinking it was gray. He told me the other day that a blue shirt was green. I had to pull up my receipt to prove it was blue (although he suggested I poll the bees).

@texasrandi: my Fiance and I decided to keep his attire a surprise. Heis also getting his tux custome made. I told him what I would like to see on his tux but it’s up to him. I am also getting my dress custom made so it will be pretty cool to see each other on the aisle…

@This Time Round: This is probably a good reminder that no matter what our guys end up in on the wedding day, they will probably still look romantic.

@texasrandi: Ha! That is too funny! Do they still do those color-blindness tests in school/dr’s offices? FI knew for sure because they test for that when you go into the military.

@prisigtr: Haha! I don’t know. I jokingly tell him he needs to get his eyesight and hearing checked…. but I’m also serious. Maybe I can find a color test online because he keeps thinking I am the one that is colorblind.

@Birdee106: I want my Fiance to wear the a top hat, walking stick, coat tails and pin stripes! That would be great!! I doubt he will though.
My Fiance is refusing to let me see his outfit before the wedding. Thinks it’s only fair. I’m a little nervous, but I’m sure he’ll look great no matter what.
