Wow...that's .... odd? Maybe you need to watch fewer movies about Canada/Maine/Northern territories?
Haha maybe I can understand it if I *had* watched something like that to trigger the dream. I completely agree about it being odd. I seriously had a wtf moment when I woke up.
I'm not one to usually try to decipher dreams that I have, but this one seemed a little too random for me to ignore.
Are you "butting heads" with anyone right now? A moose can represent someone older or who has a lot of influence because they "tower" over you. Are you avoiding conflict with someone because you are afraid of their reaction? Since so many of your family members were there, I would assume it is a family member.
WoW! What a dream.
:) I also feel a Sarah Palin joke coming on....:)
Hmmm, I really can't say that I'm butting heads with anyone right now. FI and I are doing well; things are great with mom and dad; things are perfectly fine with the inlaws; things are good with the bridesmaids...
That would make a lot of sense, but I really can't think of any conflicts I might be avoiding. I'm at a loss. I will continue to think about it in case there's a situation that's just not coming to mind yet.
Thanks for the suggestion scottielass!
These are excerpts from what I've found about dreaming about a moose:
"To see a moose in your dream, represents long life and longevity. It may refer to the elders around you. Alternatively, a moose indicates that you can be both powerful and gentle. You exert your power only when it is necessary."
And:
"Steady movement forward through life. Exploration of and sensitivity to your environment. Unassuming. Large or clumsy."
And:
"Unpredictability. Being in control of your life and environment. Having the ability to survive or prosper under any circumstances ..."
And:
"When a moose appears in your dream, there will be a powerful gentle soul entering your life. This may be a father figure that you have been missing and wishing for. The moose will guide you towards bountiful harvests, and feeding pastures. A sign that good fortune will follow in the days to come."

It wasn't a nightmare, but it was frightening. It was a giant moose, who apparently would get very, very angry if he caught someone (specifically me) looking at him, and he would charge like a freight train towards me. I had to hide, and hide really well, otherwise he'd smash through a wall if he knew I was behind it (for example).
This took place at a fairly large-sized farm house with some woods nearby. Other family members were there; some inside, some outside of the house, but the moose only seemed to charge at me.
And apparently I looked (glanced? stared? snuck a peek out of the corner of my eye?) at him more than once since I was charged at several times throughout the dream. He would always catch me looking then come charging with fury in his eyes...
WTF
Any ideas, Bees?
