Hi Bees! So I have embarked on a big DIY. I’m doing a brooch bouquet! Yay! So far, I’ve ordered some enamel and brass flower brooches from etsy (gorgeous). I’ve also collected other flower stretch rings, necklaces, stretch bracelets, and various filler trinkets for the project. I’ve wired and wrapped 6 stems so far, and have gathered all my faux hydrangea stems for shape. Here’s the kicker….I’ve gathered 11 hydrangea stems. Most videos I’ve seen only have two stems. The bouquet is 11 inches in diameter and I haven’t added any brooches yet. I want it big like a real flower bouquet, since I’m wearing a full ballgown with a hoop skirt (think Cinderella). I think it will be balanced (I hope). So, have any of you attempted to build a really big brooch bouquet? Can I see it? How heavy was it? How wide was your stem/handle when you finished? Any advice, or things to watch out for?
