Nope. I do not have a bustle for my dress, but I haven’t yet been married. Just stopping in to let you know you’re in good company.

@beebee89: Sure you are! Have you ever noticed when a woman gets married, she usually has a train on her gown during the ceremony, but at the reception, her dress is magically all one length? That’s because there is a “bustle” underneath; a series of ties and fasteners that allow the train of the dress to be concealed for ease of movement.

Mine has a detachable train, so all I have to do is *snap snap* and I’m all set to dance the night away 🙂 So technically no bustle, but no long train after the ceremony, either.

I almost forgot to bustle mine and I was so relived once I figured out how to do it.  But my train was about 3 feet long, on the floor.  Everyone kept stepping on the dress…

if you dont have an actual train then you dont need a bustle..but if you have long train u will need one so you can dance freely and dont trip and get your gown stepped on….it just depends on your gown.

@iheartnerds: I would really recommend bustling your dress only because even thought your train is not very long, it is possible that someone else could step on your dress and there is potential for ripping. I bustled my own dress using this AWESOME video on Youtube. I did everything on the inside seam of the dress and you can’t tell at all. I used to ribbon method and it looks great IMO.
