Cable is so ridiculously expensive. We don’t watch a lot of tv so we just have Hulu and Netflix. They got rid of a lot of shows we watch….then tonight we tried to watch Bar Rescue and that was gone too! WTF?! It’s getting super annoying and I hate to buy cable! Anyone else notice a lot of shows are missing? I about had it when they got rid of pretty little liars!! I’m still about three episodes behind!

JazzyGirl85: we don’t have cable, never have…but my comment is really to point out the irony of the Netflix ad I see right under your post…it cracks me up! 🙂

JazzyGirl85: We won’t once we move – the only reason we have cable now is because of the roommates. We’ll just get Netflix, and if FI wants to watch a sports game, it’ll either be online or he’ll go to a friend’s house party to watch it (which is what happens now anyway). The stuff I watch on Netflix doesn’t usually have issues, but I don’t watch a whole lot – just Supernatural right now.

We gave up cable… have a Roku. Use amazon, Hulu, Netflix and Plex.
Cable companies will eventually lose this battle. With more and more people downloading shows for free from each other, cable will not win the TV battle.

I don’t. I have torrents.

: I am so excited bc now hulu has added more horrible reality tv I like! Lol. I just wish I could watch hgtv but the price of cable isnt worth it! With so many people streaming, more internet companies are going to start charging for usage instead of a flat fee. Where I live there’s only ONE internet/cable company so I hope that doesn’t happen any time soon.

I gave up cable when I moved out from my parents house 6 years ago, and haven’t looked back! I have hulu and Netflix, and if it’s not in there I don’t watch it until the library gets the DVD! They get seasons of tv shows even, our library is great.
For the summer we even cancelled Netflix since we don’t warch as much.

I was actually thinking about FI and I giving up cable, and now that I know that a lot of shows aren’t availiable on Hulu anymore, I just don’t think I can part with it. The only thing I look forward to after a long night of work is to watch all the TV on my DVR. Ive spoiled myself.. ughhh.
