I didn’t have one because no one threw me one. Honestly, I was perfectly fine with it. Don’t worry, you’ll still have a wonderful time being engaged.

Mine is an interfaith/intercultural marriage. FI’s side is the one who do showers, but mine doesn’t so I won’t get one. Though one of my cousins did because her family threw one for her. I seriously doubt anyone will do it for me. My cousin’s mom is a bitch n’ a half and would have eaten everyone alive if they didn’t throw her daughter a bridal shower. My mom? Not so much. Lol!

Oh I’m not having one. We’re having a destination wedding and people attending the wedding is more than enough!

I don’t want one, for what it’s worth.

Nope.  Not comfortable with the idea.

I am not having one b/c I don’t really need to be “showered” with anything. I plan on just having a day out with the women in my family to celebrate…no gifts involved. Since it will only be family, I am having it closer to the wedding date so it will be warm out.

I’m not having one because I feel a lot of wedding traditions are outdated.  I’m also 3.5 hours away from my bridesmaids and my bachlorette is at the beach, so I would feel bad if they spent MORE money.  I just don’t like to feel like the center of attention.

I would love to have one but I am not planning on it. I just can’t ask my girls to pay hundreds of dollars to have a party for me to get gifts.

Nope! But, I’m totally okay with it. I’m also more than likely skipping a bachelorette party. I’m not one for tradition 🙂

I don’t think I’m going to have one.  All of my besties & family are in CA, I’m in CO.  I have friends here, but I don’t know, I’m not really feeling the bridal shower thing.  Plus, I hate all of the games.  If you want to give me little naughty lacy things, great – just give it to me at my bachelorette party.

@JamaicaBride: *this* We’re doing a family-only intimate wedding, & will prob have a party with friends when we’re back from our honeymoon, so… I’m not comfortable w/ having anyone who isn’t attending/invited feel like they need to buy us presents. I plan to spend more than a couple days w/ the girls at the beach the week before the wedding:)
