akk380:  Once I go back to work as a nurse, I probably will not while working. It is too much to wear then. I will just get a plain band to wear.

I won’t be.  I have very small fingers, and can’t stand the feeling of more than one ring on a finger. I’ll get myself a nice diamond band and that will be it.  Might wear both together on special occasions.

akk380:  I’m planning to have a morganite ring so I don’t think I’ll wear it as much at work, and just wear a plain band at work, but there will be slow days at work which I know I won’t be too rough on my hands is when I will wear it.

I live in South Africa, a country with ALOT of crime. I won’t be wearing my e-ring for fear of losing my finger…. So just a wedding band for me. I’ll only wear my e-ring for special occasions

akk380:  No, for us I feel like that’s a waste of money. We spent a decent amount on our ring for this time in our lives, and I’m going to get my money’s worth, haha.

I won’t be wearing mine, and I might not even always wear the band, ha! I’m not good at wearing rings and I can’t get used to the feeling. So I wear it on special occasions only noe.

I am notoriously bad with jewelry.  When FI and I started shopping for an e-ring my priority was something which if I lost, wouldn’t be a house deposit or something, especially while I sort of have to wear it everyday.  I have a .25 carat diamond with a pave band.  FI wants to get me something bigger and flashier to wear to special occasions.  When we get married I will have a simple white gold band I wear everyday at work and my “special occasions ring” for family and work functions etc.

I chose my band specifically so it can be worn alone. My ERing tapers ALOT so to get a perfect band it would have to be curved which I don’t like on their own. Although thin (2mm) I love my band on its own (it’s an alternating marquis and round diamond band set in platinum with milgrain details). Most of the women in my family just wear their band. But the more I try my two rings on together the more I love it so who knows! Luckily I’m not in the sort of job where sparkly rings could get damaged

akk380:  I would ask your fiance about this. I mentioned wearing only my band after the wedding and just wearing my e-ring for special occasions to my FI. He was kind of upset by this idea. He loves me e-ring and wants me to show it off and feels like it would be a waste of money not to wear it after the wedding.

So, I think I’ll wear them both for a few years and slowly transition to band only lol

I usually just wear my wedding band (platinum Starlight eternity band from Blue Nile) because it’s  4mm and so is my e-ring, so it is a lot all together. I do wear both occasionally and always on special occasions.
