My brother got married in October, and his suit as well as the suits his GM wore were from Indochino. My brother absoultely loved them, and I can atest that they looked very nice in person. The only thing I noticed is that they seemed to be quite tight-fitting. They all sent in their measurements, and while they did fit, they appeared very slim-fitting. Maybe that was the style?

My FI went to an Indochino pop-up store here in SF and the quality wasn’t to the standards we were hoping far. If you’re looking for top of the line fabric with good stiching, then Indochino isn’t the place to go to. It’s a far cry from what is offered at Bloomingdale’s or some other high-end store.

And yes, the suits do come super tight, despite my FI having gotten measured by one of their “professional” tailors. The suit they put him in was really tight on the crotch and thigh area. We didn’t end up buying anything from them.

My FI had one made when he was in a friends wedding. The guys all looked great! The only suggestion I can make is that make sure everyone orders at the same time, one guy ordered his ahead of time, and his suit was from a different dye batch. I’m not sure everyone could tell, but did!

@smg5281:  We ordered from Indochino for DH and the groomsmen and they looked amazing. It was very difficult to get matching suits because our guys lived all over the continent and ranged in height from 5’5 to 6’6. For the price, we were very impressed with the details, the quality and the custom fit. The entry level “essentials” started at $300ish when we got ours. The price might’ve gone up since then, and they do have more premium wool fabrics available too.

Some things to note:

The fit is entirely dependent on the measurements you give them. Their standard cut is very slim. Ideally, you should bring your guys to one of their pop up stores and get them to take measurements. Barring that, go to a tailor. If you do the measurements yourself, follow the videos exactly, and do them 2-3 times over to make sure they’re consistent. We did this, and DH’s suit fit like a glove. Just had to take in the hem by half an inch. Some of the groomsmen didn’t follow the instructions well and their suits didn’t fit properly. No matter, Indochino replaced them free of charge with new measurements and even rushed the order in time for the wedding. If you do order, order from them early enough for the alterations to be done. I think if you order more than 3 suits, they also throw in free cufflinks and ties.

If you have any questions, feel free to message me 🙂

My husband ordered his suit from them and he loves it. I don’t know how their stock of fabrics works, but when he ordered they didn’t have any of the linings he wanted. Not that it matters because you don’t really see that part, but he would have preferred one of the paisley prints and the only ones in stock were solids.

@smg5281:  The general scuttlebutt I’ve heard is that the fabric not as good as they would have you believe.  All suits in that price range (outside hong kong, anyway) will be fused, rather than canvassed.  Cheap fusing can lead to problems when dry cleaning, that could render a suit unwearable.  I would search, specifically, for reviews on the subject of damage from dry cleaning.  Suitsupply is a good value option, from what I’ve heard.  I don’t have first hand experience with either.

@smg5281:  I’ve also heard good things about Black Lapel, but, again, no first hand experience.
