Hello wonderful hive,

My fiance and I have just begun planning our August 2010 wedding and I'm getting a lot of great advice and ideas from all of you wonderful bumble bees! We have picked out our colors: Midnight Blue, Bright Pink, Light Pink, and Champagne or White; but reading some posts have got me excited about possibly thinking of a theme to go with our wedding.

I thought it would be easy to come up with a theme for us, but I'm just not sure where to start. Here's where I ask you all for help! Please!!! I'll tell you a little bit about us, and my idea so far, but I am open to any fresh ideas for themes or anything to add on to what I've got so far:

I am from Orange County, California, my fiance is from Sweden. We will be getting married in Sweden. We like to travel, although haven't been to too many places together outside of California and Sweden. He is a law student, I am trying to get an elementary teaching job. My idea so far is to make our theme blend cities of California and cities of Sweden. I thought we could name each table a different city, then at that table have trivia/facts about the city, and pictures of us when we visited/lived in that city. Any ideas to add to this, or what this theme would be called???

I saw soemthing similiar to this on another blog. Can't think of it right now but they made the floral pieces look like the place. For example, Paris was a tower covered in ribbon and flowers. Maui was tropical flowers. Everything was in their color scheme so that tied it all together. Try looking at styelmepretty or swsmag.net They both will give you great ideas on themes
