We had to postpone our honeymoon that my grandparents planned for us because my husband had to go in for surgery 4 days after our wedding. We plan on just going this summer, because we can make our reservation 2 weeks before going. 🙂

We are actually in the process of doing the same thing. We got married back in October and will be going on our honeymoon this upcoming November. We didn’t intend to wait a whole year, but life had other plans. I’m super stoked regardless!

we got married in oct and knew we wouldnt honeymoon right away as we want to do 3 weeks in thailand/indonesia and it was too much to plan with the wedding. We’re still in the process of planning, but we hope to do it this year (he’s looking to move jobs so we hope to do it then!)  No shame. We loved being home and returning to normal life post-wedding.

  • Wedding: November 2014

We’re getting married in November and planning a honeymoon for the following March/April. Its just too close to Christmas to do a honeymoon imo. And I’m not making the full move until just before the wedding so its just too much. We’re planning a nice cruise 🙂

mrscarney60202:  We have no choice but to postpone our honeymoon. We are getting married in September. He only gets 2 weeks at Christmas and 2 weeks during the summer for shutdown and 9 times outta 10 the company figures out ways so they don’t give them any vacation time (usually making them take an extra week to get back to work after one of the shutdowns so they don’t have to pay someone to cover the vacation time). I’ll have been at my job for 1 year by the time we get married but I’m really low in senority so getting vacation time isn’t going to happen during the summer and because where I work, you either work Christmas and Boxing Day or New Years Eve and New Years Day so there doesn’t leave a lot of room for a honeymoon. We’ll take one when we can. Basically our next big vacation will be our honeymoon. Its hard not knowing when it will be but we’ve already decided on what we are doing so looking at pictures will have to do 😀

We are postponing our honeymoon indefinitely. FI is not allowed any time off from work and gets no paid time so taking a chunk of time off would mean no paycheck and possibly no job. As it is he now has to work 7 days a week starting next week so I’m hoping our Saturday afternoon wedding isn’t a problem.  I’m disappointed but I have to remember that marrying him is most important.

We got married in April and went to Costa Rica in February. It was fun and we had a great time! It was still a special trip. Enjoy your honeymoon!

We are getting married August 9th of this year. FI is currently in the police academy and cannot take any time off. We will be postponing our honeymoon until 2015. We are also going to try to buy a house this fall. It sucks, but I’m ok with it :).

  • Wedding: July 2015

We are planning on getting married next July and going away the following year for our belated honeymoon and in celebration of our 1 year anniversary. We are paying for the majority of the wedding ourselves and buying a house is next on our list, so it wouldn’t be realistic for us to take a honeymoon right after. i actually am glad we are doing it this way…we have something to look forward to 🙂

Our wedding is taking place in the white mountains of NH and we are staying for another 2-3 days after our wedding (we’re hosting our wedding at a private home) so I guess that’s kind of like a mini-moon 🙂

Our wedding is on Nov 29th this year but we will have our honeymoon 2 weeks later. I got a lot to do  at work during the first two weeks of Dec and I gotta be back on the first days of January so I’m thinking of 20-21 days for the honeymoon. I think that’s more than enough considering I just bought a house with my sister.

  • Wedding: June 2014

We are getting married June 8 and we are going to Italy in August! My fiance is a teacher so we either got the last week in June when prices are astronomical, or the last two weeks in August! August it is! 🙂

We are probably going to do something similar. We are probably going to get married in January, but we aren’t going to take our honeymoon until May or June. We would have the opportunity for a short honeymoon in February, but we both would really like to go to Greece. But it seems that February is very rainy and cold there in February, so if we are going to spend that kind of time and money, we want to have some nice weather. (And I’m not willing to give up my dream winter wedding! )

We opted to postpone any honeymoon plans to have our wedding at Dodger Stadium. We have two babies and im not ready to be away from them for a long time yet BUT I too am a little worried we may never go.  Hopefully it works out for both of us!!

We are getting married in June but I don’t see us taking a honeymoon until probably November if finances allow us to do so.  We are paying for the wedding ourselves, but my fiance is in a bit of a tough financial situation right now and I am putting all of my disposable income towards the wedding so no honeymoon for now.  On the bright side we are doing the wedding in a beautiful boutique bed and breakfast on the lake and will stay there 2 nights so that will have to do for now 🙂
