I’m thinking just some regular ole’ rhinestones from your Michaels store and a hot glue gun.

I love the look of that! So cute! Don’t they make letters and stuff that are made of rhinestones and already have a sticky back?

so i must just be tired but i thought you were talking about actual stones (like river rocks) that’s why i clicked on the link thanking, “what an interesting tradition”. i think it’s time for bed lol.

p.s. i love the writing on the bottom of the shoes too! personally i’d use a crafting glue and a toothpick as you’ll have more control over the glue deposit. with such small stones you may wind up either burning yourself or have a globby glue mess.

I did this the other night!  My letters aren’t as fancy as those though.  I found some sticky back rhinestones at Hobby Lobby in the scrapbook section.  There were some iron-on stones in the apparel decorating section too that I thought could probably be glued on.

@TrixieStix – so glad I wasn’t the only one who thought this.

I did it, just used stick on rhinestone letters.

That’s a really cute idea.  Do you plan on wearing your shoes after the wedding?  If so, would you take the stones off or leave them on?

Oh YES Definitely.  I am doing the stones in the words I DO (didnt click on the link, my computer is being painfully slow… and housewives comes on in 1 min… soo sorry LOL) but I am doing I Do in hot pink and then using it as a photo op with my future hubby.  he’s going to hold me in his arms with my sticking my feet out at the camera and the photog can get a pic!! Lovin it!!

I am.  I bought light blue swarovski crystals to glue on the bottom of my shoes.  I bought them at artbeads.com.  Photos to come soon…
