@kelb: Hi kelb! I don't have any useful info, but I just wanted to say hi and welcome to the Bee! Congrats on finding your venue - I know that was a big weight off for me :) I'm glad there's another Hudson Valley bride joining, and I look forward to talking weddings with you :)
First off, congratulations! I was a Lyndhurst mansion bride last summer (July 2010) and have SO much information I can share with you. Everything was absolutley perfect and the most beautiful day I could have ever imagined!
Let me start by recommending Philip Stone Caterers a million times over. Peter was such a professional and a joy to work with. I think I e-mailed him a hundred million times and he responded almost immediately each time! The cost for the amount and quality of food we got from the cocktail hour, to dinner, to full open bar the entire night was unbeatable. The food was all my guests could talk about! Everything was PERFECT. You even get a personal assistant for the entire day and night (included) whose only job is to tend to the bride and groom! Philip Stone was superb and I sing their praises any chance I get.
I would be happy to share any other information with you regarding venders, etc. for Lyndhurst. Please message me. I LOVE talking about it now that it's been over a year since the big day. Helps me to relive my perfect wedding day! Best of luck with your planning. Such an exciting year ahead for you!
I love this space... Did you have an outdoor tented wedding? This is my dream and this location may just be perfect

Hi everyone,
My fiance and I have just decided to have our August 2012 wedding at Lyndhurst mansion in Tarrytown, NY. We are very excited, and I'm happy to be jumping into planing. First order of business is finding a caterer.
Has anyone recently had a wedding at Lyndhurst and have any feedback about the caterer you chose? Or has anyone used Philip Stone Caterers or Sterling Affair Caterers for their wedding at or outside of Lyndhurst?
Any feedback or information about these caterers would be greatly appreciated!! Would also love any other vendor advice from recent Lyndhurst brides.
Thanks!
