Yes! I'm very nervous to post about my invites on the blog because everyone on here has done such a beautiful job and I'm worried mine won't stand up!
I hear ya on that one. Invitations were the most stressful part of wedding planning. Be proud of your work!
I'm sure your invites will be perfect Star, can't wait to see them : )
I was definitely nervous... Don't worry - Your guests will be so happy to recieve them and I'm sure they will love them! :)
Aww, thanks, I'm sure both of ours are beautiful and we're just being silly.
Absolutely! I never realized how much time was spent on invitations before I started doing my own. I can't believe I ever threw one away now! They are definitely a labor of love that probably goes under-appreciated by anyone that has never dealt with planning a wedding. Of course you want everyone to love them as much as you - and they will!! I'm sure all your guests will really appreciate all the time and energy you put into it!
Ours are hitting mailboxes next week and I'm definitley nervous about what people will think!
I'm a little nervous because everyone told me I should just buy the kits that you can just print yourself. But we'll see. Mine should hit mailboxes sometime next week.
I think this is a normal feeling, especially if you designed and DIY'd them. It's putting your artwork out there and is subject to critisism. I definitely was nervous when I handed out my STDs. They were my babies. :o)
COMPLETELY NERVOUS
I spent forever on them... the STD's were great, everyone raved about them, so there was a great deal of pressure to deliver FAB invites...
I labored over them, and spent weeks designing, printing, embossing, assembling and countless hours addressing each one, and it was great to see them go...
So far, comments have been so uplifting and positive, I'm thrilled I spent the time and $ on them.
Some of mine have been received now and the comments I've had have really made me feel better, I'm so pleased I spent the time and effort on them.

I finally finished my invitations this weekend, after 12 months of designing, sourcing papers, printing, cutting and sticking.
I handed the first ones out to my co workers today and felt myself being really nervous and self conscious, I guess I just wanted everyone to love them since I put so much time and effort in.
Did anyone else get self conscious about your invites or anything else wedding related?
